Even before series 5 hit the tv, the BBC commissioned a Christmas episode and even a sixth series for 2011. Sweeeeeet! Yes, The Doctor and his sexy companion, Amy Pond will return for a full series 6 in 2011.The 2010 christmas episode is to be written by new head "Doctor Who" producer, Steven Moffat. Exec-Producer confirmed a series 6 in the "Doctor Who" magazine in the March 2010 edition. Filming for both the christmas episode and series 6 will start in July of this year.
There is no further news on who the villains will be (bet the Daleks will be back for it) or even any plot details. All we know is that author, Neil Gaiman has been signed to write an episode for the first half of series 6 in 2011.
