Daredevil Will Be The New Batman!

So first we got the controversial casting of Peter Capadli as The 12th Doctor and now we have none other than Ben Fucking Affleck cast as Zach Snyder's older and newly rebooted Batman for his 2015 "Man Of Steel" sequel?! My mind is ready to explode with geekness!!! Some people WILL probably hate this casting choice but I for one flippen love it.
I never even thought of him when thinking of older actors to play Bruce Wayne/Batman in the upcoming sequel. I honestly thought that Warner would have gone with actors such as Ryan Gosling, Josh Brolin, Karl Urban, etc. They obviously just thought nah.......BEN AFFLECK!!!! Like I said with the casting of Capadli as The 12th Doctor, not the best casting, but not bad either........THIS GOOD BE GREAT!!!
I think Affleck is perfect because he's an amazing actor and director and I, like Kevin Smith, have always had faith in him and knew that some day he WILL rise again in greatness......obviously he did that with "Hollywood Land", "Argo" and "The Town". Now it's time to see him become a superhero again and prove that 2003's "Daredevil" was just a mistake (even though I loved it) and he CAN play a superhero awesomely after all.
I think that Affleck's Bruce Wayne will be like Robert Downey Jr's Tony Stark.......the guy who brings the team together by cameoing in other superhero films. It's assumed that Affleck will lead off to play Batman in his own standalone films and rejoin Superman and the rest of DC Comics top superheroes in the planned "Justice League" film sometime in 2017.

Peter Capaldi Is Our New 12th Doctor!

"The Thick Of It" star Peter Capaldi is our new 12th Doctor from this Christmas onwards for the next few years.  At the age of 55, he is the same age as the First Doctor, William Hartnell, when he first started 50 years ago. I never once thought he would get given the role. He was announced as the next Doctor by presenter Zoe Ball on Sunday night near the end of the BBC special "Doctor Who Live: The Next Doctor". My reaction was insane!!! My girlfriend recorded my reaction and put it on Facebook. It's all real and I never faked it at all. That was my reaction for an actor who was never my first choice. Can you imagine what it would have been like if the actor who was chosen WAS my top choice?! I would put up the video on here but it's on Facebook only and you'd have to be my friend to see it, sorry guys. Here's a link to the intense moment when Ball announced Capaldi as the new Doctor: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Zim8zL3Q5k
I never at once thought an actor of his age would be given the role of The Doctor. I thought the BBC would keep going for a younger actor, but obviously not. Capaldi is an extremely amazing actor and hats off to him for getting the role after seeing him as the over the top foul-mouthed character, Malcolm Tucker in "The Thick Of It". I thinks he's the only actor to play The Doctor, who's said FUCK like over 100 times in his career. Here's a link to Malcolm Tucker saying FUCK almost 90 times in "The Thick Of It" big-screen spin-off "In The Loop" with the late James Gandolfini: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lLlEdEx3tn8
When I see Capaldi, I can't think of any other older actor to play The Doctor, well other than the amazing John Hurt, but I don't need to say anything else about that obviously. Capaldi will nail it as an older Doctor. When I look at him, especially in his wee announcement video, I can just see an older Doctor, like an older version of either Matt Smith or David Tennant looking back at me. Peter Capaldi IS the older Doctor!!! I can't wait to see what he's like when Smith regenerates into him. I think it's going to be hilarious, "Oh god am old again" type of hilarious. And just think of the chemistry he'll have with his younger companion Clara, played by the smart and awesome Jenna Louise Coleman. It's going to be great TV.
I'm just so excited now. New Doctor, new opening credits, new arragement of the theme tune, new costume, new TARDIS, new sonic screwdriver (well it's assumed that they're all going to be fresh new versions to go with the fresh new Doctor). OH, here's the link to Capaldi's wee announcement video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VDGzzGRKukE

Josh Brolin And Many Others Up For Role As Next Batman!

So not only are fellow geeks going on about who the next Doctor will be, but we're also going on about who the next Batman will be. After this image above of "Men In Black 3" star Josh Brolin hit the net with his head photoshopped onto Batman's body, everyone went batshit crazy over it. The image above looks amazing. I don't think anyone even thought about Brolin when thinking about who could play the next Batman. He actually looks like Bruce Wayne from the cartoons, well the older ones from like the 90's.
There's a rumour that Zach Snyder and Warner are possibly searching for an older actor to play the role of their Batman in the 2015 "Man Of Steel" sequel. Brolin is 45 years old and is not bad for his age so he can still move about and fight, etc. They are also looking at Ryan Gosling, in case they go for a younger actor, Tyler Hoechlin from "Teen Wolf", Richard Armitage from "The Hobbit" films and even Luke Evans from "Fast & Furious 6".
An insider did sort if confirm that they are indeed looking for an older actor for the role of the next Dark Knight in "Man Of Steel 2", so that would mean that Brolin and Armitage have more of a chance than any of the others listed. Brolin and Gosling are speculated to be Warners top choice after their roles in this years "Gangster Squad".
Fans are expecting that The Dark Knight's story will be based around Frank Miller's "The Dark Knight Returns" comic book, seeing as a quote was read out at this years COMIC-CON.

First Posters For "X-Men: DOPF" Have Hit The Net!

How fricken awesome looking are these first posters for "X-Men: DOFP"......I mean just look at them. The young actors actually NOW look even more like the older versions don't they?! Very cool first posters indeed.

The Next Doctor To Be Revealed Tonight!

So this is it "Doctor Who" fans! Today is the day every "Doctor Who" fan has been waiting for since current Doctor, Matt Smith, announced he's quitting the show. Today is the day we find out who will be playing The 12th Doctor. Tonight at 7pm, Zoe Ball will be hosting a live show titled "Doctor Who Live: The Next Doctor". In this show we'll get interviews from previous Doctors and near the end, the grand reveal of the new Doctor.
Tones of bookies have been taking bets in on who the next actor could be, from Ben "Skyfall" Whishaw to Ben "Law & Order: UK" Daniels and from Idris "Luther" Elba to Daniel "BT Ad Guy" Rigby and finally from Andrew "Sherlock" Scott to even Peter "The Thick Of It" Capaldi, which is a massive one in my eyes. I just can't see Capaldi playing the Doctor after seeing him as extremely foul mouthed Malcolm Tucker.
Personally I want to see Whishaw play the new Doctor. When you look at him in "Skyfall", he's basically the Doctor with his technology and computers. He's amazing and would be amazing as the next Doctor.
I am so excited but at the same time, extremely nervous too. Who's it going to be? Male? Female? Black? Ginger? All these questions will be answered in under 9 hours time.
