Matthew Vaughn Returns To "X-Men"

"X-Men: First Class" director, Matthew Vaughn has confirmed that he will be returning to the take the helm on "X-Men: First Class 2", which is under the rumoured working title of "X-Men: Second Class", which I said before......that would make a hell of a lot of sense.
The full cast have also been confirmed to return. but we knew this already anyway. All I can say is this is amazing and the film better be EPIC!!!!

"X-Men: First Class 2" is expected to be released into cinemas sometime in 2014.

Spider-Man Web-Slinging In To "The Avengers" Film?

Way last week, British actress Jenny Argutter let slip in an interview that Andrew Garfield could be web-slinging into this years "Avengers" film before seeing him in full form in the upcoming "Spider-Man" reboot afterwards.
Now a "trusted source" has mentioned that Garfield's Spider-Man could be indeed cameoing in "The Avengers" film. He'll probably just be appearing for like a few seconds, like Hugh Jackman in "X-Men: First Class" last year. This cameo could be a way of promoting the new reboot with the small time actor.

Matt Smith & Karen Gillan Win At The NTA's

Matt Smith and Karen Gillan win an award at the NTA's..........FINALLY!!!! The only thing is that "Doctor Who" itself lost out to "Downton Abbey". Matt won the best drama actor and Karen won the best drama actress.
After winning, backstage Matt Smith spoke briefly about his future with the show, "It's bigger than everyone in it and it will continue far longer, way after me. I am here for a very small period of time. I'm here for the future, I love working on the show. I have no plans to leave." And Karen just spoke about having a ball of a time on the show and that she will miss, but it is time to move on anyway.

"Sherlock" Star Should Be The Next Master!

I just watched the final episode of "Sherlock: Series 2" and I have to say what a fucking episode that was. It was such an amazing ending that let me puzzled, but I loved it. I was like, "Awww Moffat, you've done it again!!!"
Andrew Scott was outstanding in his portrayal as Sherlock's arch nemesis, Jim Moriarty. Him playing Moriarty, Benedict Cumberbatch playing Sherlock Holmes and good old Martin Freeman playing John Watson.........JUST PERFECT CASTING!!!
Anyway, back to why I'm doing this post. I thought that Scott's Moriarty was very much like John Simm's Master in "Doctor Who", funny, but quite sadistic. Obviously Moriarty is worse than The Master, but they're very much alike. So I thought that if Steven Moffat ever thought about bringing back The Master for Matt Smith's Doctor, then he should seriously consider Andrew Scott for the role. Loved John Simm, but I thing they will probably want to go younger now for Smith's Doctor, seeing as Smith is still only like below 30 years of age.

New Images From "The Avengers"

"Dwight Schrute: The Series" Coming In 2013?

NBC are supposedly currently working on a possible spin-off to their hit comedy series, "The Office", with one of it's favourite characters, Dwight Schrute, played by Rainn Wilson. The series is said to be based around Dwight and his beet farm.
The idea of this possible spin-off was from the minds of both Wilson and "The Office" exec-producer, Paul Lieberstein. Below is info from a source from the inside,
“Paul and Rainn have been joking for years about Dwight's life on the farm, his family and how ill-suited he is to run a B&B,"
"A while ago, it started to feel like a show to them. NBC agreed, it’s been further developed to include multiple generations, many cousins and neighbors. At its base it will be about a family farm struggling to survive and a family trying to stay together."

The Official Synopsis For This Years "Spider-Man" Reboot!

Sony have finally come together and released the official synopsis for their upcoming reboot of "Spider-Man". Here it is,
"The Amazing Spider-Man" is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance – leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr. Curt Connors (Ifans), his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.
This sound as though it'll be waaaaaaaaaaaay different from the previous films by Sam Raimi. It sounds awesome!!!

IT'S OFFICIAL: Matthew Vaughn & Jane Goldman Aren't Kicking Ass Anymore!

While at the premier of her new film, "The Woman In Black", writer Jane Goldman confirmed that neither herself or director Matthew Vaughn aren't coming back to write and direct "Kick-Ass" sequel, "Balls On The Wall".
This is sad times guys and gals. Hopefully the studio behind the film get a good writer and director onboard for it. Here's hoping too that Matthew Vaughn has maybe now really got his eyes on "First Class 2".

I Wonder Who's Playing McClane's Son In New "Die Hard" Film?

So seeing as "A Good Day To Die Hard" has began filming in Russia, let's play a game of who is going to play John McClane's son in the film. Fox have quite a few names that they're going through. From Shia LaBeouf to Ryan Gosling and Liam Hemsworth to even as old as Paul Walker. They wont let us know who they really want until they choose the actor.
I personally think that Liam Hemsworth would be quite good for the role. We'll see him later in the year in "The Expendables 2", so we can see how good he is in an action film. Who would you like to see play John Jr???

"The Expendables 2" Poster Along With It's PG-13 One Too!

There has been a mass outrage lately because Sly Stallone confirmed that his action-packed sequel, "The Expendables 2" will be tamed down to a PG-13, which to us would make it either a 15 rating again like the last one, or even worse.........a 12A, so that the kids can watch as well. It's been said that the film recieved this rating because of old man Norris, who doesn't agree with strong violence and bad language. All I have to say on that is......................."IT'S A FUCKING ACTION FILM!!!!!"
So someone online has taken the piss out of it and changed the movies official poster and gave it a PG-13 rating and changed their big guns to toy guns. I like it!!!!

"Chronicle" Director Now Up For Directing "First Class" Sequel?

God, this Josh Trank guy is getting some good offers from big studios to direct their upcoming superhero films. First he's rumored to be given the offer to direct Fox's "Fantastic Four" reboot and now he's been supposedly the directors job of the planned "X-Men: First Class" sequel.
Trank has said in many interviews that the offers are true and are not rumors but who knows what he's on about. All he's saying is that nothings been signed even if there were offers.

"Terminator 5" To Be R Rated!

The current rights holder to the "Terminator" franchise, Megan Ellison, promised fans that the next "Terminator" film will be R rated, which over here in the UK can mean either a 15 or 18 rating, but I really can't see it getting an 18 rating.
This is what she said on her Twitter page, "We can't really tell you guys anything about Terminator BUT it will be an R rated film as God and James Cameron intended."

Lily Collins Leaves "The Evil Dead" Reboot!

Phil Collins's beloved daughter, Lily Collins has decided to leave the reboot of the 80's classic, "The Evil Dead" due to scheduling conflicts. If I was cast in this film I'd say "FUCK YOU!" to my schedule and stay with this film, even though it's a reboot of an amazing 80's horror classic.
And that's basically it for that news. That's all that's been said out about it. She's left and there's no news on anyone else at the time being cast for her role of drugged-up Mia, which is set to be the new franchise's lead character rather than previous franchise leader, Ash, played by Bruce Campbell.

Amy Pond & Hubby Leaving The Doctor This Year!

Yes, I know this is old news from like last month, but I haven't posted it up on my blog yet. So here it is, Karen Gillan confirmed that her character, Amy Pond and her on-screen hubby, Rory Williams, played by Arthur Darvill are set to leave "Doctor Who" during it's 7th series, which is set to begin airing sometime this Autumn. She doesn't know what going to happen to the both characters but the shows head writer, Steven Moffat has hinted that the story will be "heartbreaking".
Gillan said a few months back that she'd rather see Amy Pond die than keep coming back again and again, like previous top companion, Rose Tyler, played by Billie Piper.
Steven Moffat spoke about what or who the new companion could be like, but never gave much away. All he said was that they had an idea about The Doctor's "new friend".

Who I Would Love To See Play The New Fantastic Four (Second Choice)

About a year ago I posted up my choices of who I think should be the new "Fantastic Four". I had "GLEE" star, Matthew Morrison as Mr Fantastic, "Heroes" sar, Hayden Panettiere as The Invisible Woman, another "GLEE" star, Corey Monteith as The Human Torch, "The Wire" star, Domenick Lombardozzi as The Thing and "The Hangover" star, Bradley Cooper as Doctor Victor Von Doom.
Now I have my new team of actors who I think should play them. Here they are,
Zachary Quinto would be amazing as ReecRichards aka Mr Fantastic. He can can pull off the geeky look and also a very cool look, so he'd be perfect. I can just imagine this photo above with some grey lines in the side of his head, through his hair.
Elizabeth Banks is so hot and would be great for the role of Sue Storm aka The Invisible Woman. She might not be as hot as Jessica Alba for some people, but I like her and she can act her ass off.
Tom "BANE" Hardy as the one and only Ben Grimm aka The Thing. I know he's well younger than Michael Chiklis, but he's so muscular, if you've seen "Bronson" and his portrayal as the new Bane in this years Batman film sure shows us that to. Shave his head and he's done.
Liam Hemsworth, brother of Chris "THOR" Hemsworth, as Johnny Storm aka The Human Torch. I just think this guy would fit the role. He needs to be in a superhero film. He tried out for "THOR", but lost out to his older brother, so now he could really play a hero for this film.
I never changed my choice for the role of Dr Doom. I chose Bradley Cooper to play Doom in the fan-cast I done for "The Fantastic Four" last year and I still think he'd be EPIC for the role. He's cocky and smooth and just fits into this role brilliantly. When I began this redo of my fan-cast, I was going to pick him for the role of Mr Fantastic, but he couldn't pull of being a geek.

"Chronicle" Director Set For "Fantastic Four: Reborn" Film?

There are rumors that "Chronicle" director, Josh Trank is the front-runner for the "Fantastic Four: Reborn" directing job. It's been said that Fox are waiting to see how his new superpowers film, "Chronicle" does before making him the "FF" reboots official director.
I just watched the trailer for his new film the other day and I have to say that it looks amazing. It's like a cam-corder film, with found footage of these groups of teens who get superpowers and I think one turns evil, but I'm not sure until I see the it when it comes out in early February.

Rick McCullum Discusses Live-Action "Star Wars" TV Series!

More information has come out about the still very possible "Star Wars" live-action TV series. The franchise producer, Rick McCullum has spoken out about it and stated that about 50 scripts have been wrote but at this moment...........they ain't progressing. The series ain't progressing, yet McCullum announced that himself and George Lucas have came up with a potential title for the series. The show is said to be going under the working title of "Star Wars: Underworld".
McCullum is still not convinced that the series will happen, but they have just made up a new title for it, so they must be doing something about it. Just make it into a comic-book series or new cartoons. McCullum said the BIG problem is the costs for each episode of the series. They cost too much for just an episode.
Hopefully one day we'll get to see this live-action TV show of the epic sci-fi franchise.

"Police Academy" Getting Straight Remake Rather Than Sequel!

A few months back, New Line Cinema announced that they had plans to make a sequel/reboot to the "Police Academy" franchise. Most of the original cast members were all set to return and train the new batch of cadets. Now it seems that New Line have scraped those plans and are now planning to do a straight remake instead. There's no news on wether or not the original cast members will return or not now, but I'm sure they'll be involved in some way or another.
Director, Scott Zabielski has been signed on to direct the brand-new film. Writer, David Diamond has wrote a script for the remake, wether or not that script will be used or not. Diamond previously wrote "When In Rome" and "Wild Hogs". They are both rubbish films, so let's hope that he doesn't ruin this new take on the classic cop franchise.

Jane Goldman Discusses "X-Men: First Class" Sequel!

After mentioning that neither herself and director Matthew Vaughn will be returning for "Kick-Ass 2", Jane Goldman has sat down and discussed the highly-anticipated "X-Men: First Class" sequel with online interviewers. The sequel, which is rumored to be under the working title of "X-Men: Second Class"........so very original, is suposedly quickly going into pre-production over at Fox, with "Sherlock Holmes" writer, Simon Kenberg penning the script.
This is what Goldman said about her and Vaughns involvement in the sequel,
"James and Michael brought so much to them that I think it's entirely natural to be talking about where those characters would go next. It was inherent in their stories and their arcs. There are so many interesting places to go."
"In terms of what's going on with that, again from my point of view, it's down to what Matthew [Vaughn] decides to do. If he decides he wants to direct the next one and if he wants me on board, I'm 100 percent there."

"Superman: The Man Of Steel" Sequel Has Got The Go-Ahead?

Rumors are rising that Warner are very confident with what they're seeing with the new upcomnig 2013 reboot to the superhero franchise, that they've already started on the script and started scouting for locations for a "Superman: The Man Of Steel 2".
I just hope this is true and that Warner are confident that the film will do well, because they never done this with Bryan Singer's 2006 reboot/sequel, "Superman Returns"............which I still think it should have got a sequel to it. I don't want another reboot after this one..........PLEASE JUST MAKE A SEQUEL AND DON'T REBOOT AGAIN!!!!!! and if you are Warner, then wait like five years or so please.

Robert Downey Jr Says "Iron Man 3" Could Be Best Comic Book Film!

While speaking on the red carpet for his premiere of "Sherlock Holmes: Game Of Shadows", Robert Downey Jr revealed some details on the upcoming sequel to the "Iron Man" franchise. He said that it could be one of the best comic book films to date. This is what Downey Jr said about the upcoming sequel,
“I think that we have an opportunity with the third Iron Man to make the best of the three, and maybe one of the better superhero movies that’s ever been made.
But I think we have to remember what made the first one good. It was very character-driven. It was very odd. It was kind of outrageous. And so I think we have to have the courage to trust that the audience is really kind of cool, and smart.”
He must be pretty confident in new director of the franchise, Shane Black and the films script by writer, Drew Pearce.

News From Comic Book World!

Marvel and Fox making plans for new Frank Castle/Punisher TV show:

It looks like The Punisher ain't returning to the BIG-screen anytime soon boys and girls. Fox have reportedly bought the rights from Marvel Studios to make their own hour-long tv series instead.
This is the info that's been released online about it,
The Punisher is described as an hour-long procedural with a Marvel signature and a new take on one of comic book giant’s iconic characters, Frank Castle, a rising star detective with the NYC Police Department who moonlights as the vigilante Punisher seeking justice for those the system has failed. Bernero will executive produce along with Marvel. This marks the first sale this season and the first one ever outside of ABC for Disney-owned Marvel, which is developing TV series based on its properties through ABC Studios.

Tom "LOKI" Hiddleton reveals when "THOR 2" will begin filming:

Hiddleton confirmed that filming for the "God Of Thunder" sequel will begin filming sometime this Summer down in London with Alan Taylor taking the helm of directing.
This is what he said,
"I have no idea. And without revealing too much, there's a specific skill set you need to be [in] Loki's army - let me know if you have the qualifications. And all I know about Thor 2 is that we're supposed to film it in London in the summer and that it's being directed by Alan Taylor."

"Dragon Tattoo" Sequels On There Way Soon!

Sony have confirmed that both sequels to "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" American remake have been commissioned and that the scripts are complete. The scripts for "The Girl Who Played With Fire" and "The Girl Who Kicked The Hornets Nest" have both be wrote by screenwriter, Steve Zaillian.
Filming should hopefully begin either the end of this year or the beginning of 2013 at the latest, with both stars of the first film, Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara, reprising their roles. Director David Fincher has still yet to sign the dotted line for returning for the sequels.
Hopefully Fincher will return because the first film was outstanding and I haven't even seen the Swedish original, but I ordered it online and it's arrived so I'll watch it soon. I loved the opening credits for Fincher's one, so here's the link to the credits on YouTube:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tcp9Ysi75f0

First Look At Jeremy Renner As Aaron Cross!

Above is the first official look at Jeremy "Hawkeye" Renner as Aaron Cross in the upcoming "Bourne" spin-off, "The Bourne Legacy".

New "Dark Knight Rises" Trailer & Poster!

Now I know sites have already posted these, but I haven't because I've been offline so here's me doing it now.
Last month saw a brand-new trailer and poster for this years final Batman film, "The Dark Knight Rises". The poster is awesome. There's a lot of spec that Bane will break Bruce Waynes back, like in the original comics, and that's why there's a rumored 8 year gap between 2008's "The Dark Knight" and the new one. The poster above shows us something.
The trailer is superb. I do still have some doubt on Tom Hardys Bane, but supposedly his voice will be improved for the final cut of the film. Again, we don't get given much on the films plot, but it's only like 4/5 months till it's out so I'm sure we can wait.
Here's the link to the trailer, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OEuLVRgmuRI

Matthew Vaughn & Jane Goldman Not Gonna "Kick-Ass" Anymore?

"Kick-Ass" and "X-Men: First Class" co-writer, Jane Goldman was speaking to MTV about the possibilities of herself and director, Matthew Vaughn returning to work on "Kick-Ass 2". This is what she had to say on the subject,
“I think the only thing that is fairly sure is that right now, Matthew doesn’t have any plans to direct it. He and I are not currently talking about writing it either. It may well be that Matthew oversees ['Kick-Ass 2'] in a producer role, and I may also be involved in that capacity. I know that there is somebody that Matthew has been talking to who would be interested in writing and directing that. That would be cool.”
I love Matthew Vaughn as a director, and would love to see him make "Kick-Ass 2", but maybe he would rather make "X-Men: First Class 2" instead and I'd rather see him make that. But I wonder who he's been speaking to? Maybe Bryan Singer? Singer would be a good choice. Let me know what you guys and gals think!
