According to some online movie news sites, the next "Star Wars" trilogy will be totally original and will have no connection to the past six films. This could mean that Disney are attempting a mini reboot within the "Wars" universe and wipe the slate clean with new characters.
There's still rumors that Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher are still though expected to return for a "passing of the torch" type scene even though this is possibly a reboot to the long-running franchise.
On the other hand, the new trilogy may not be a total reboot and just maybe have a new ending for the three original characters rather than the stories in the various comics and books set after "Episode 6". They may have new storylines for them rather than adapt, hence the original idea.
This could serious work if Disney plan to bring in new Jedi's and a new evil Empire. I'm just hyped up about the cast to be honest. The actors and actresses of today are amazing and I'm excited about who will be lucky to get a role in the new trilogy.
