Michael Fassbender is reportedly up for villain roles in Marc Webb's "Spider-Man Reboot" and "X-Men: First Class". For the Spider-Man film; he's up for an unknown role and for the X-Men role; he's up for the role of a younger Magneto, just like James McAvoy, who is confirmed for the role of the younger Professor X.Fassbender is to choose between them, as they will both begin filming round about at the same time. So only time will tell wether he goes for X-Men or Spider-Man.
