Sony Confirm Plans For "Sinister Six" And "Venom" Spin-Off Movies!
Today Sony have confirmed that they finally have big plans to bring the "Sinister Six" to the big screen in their own villains film, which is said to kick start a villains franchise that will be based in and around the present Marc Webb based "Amazing Spider-Man" rebooted franchise. They also revealed Venom back to the big screen in his very own long-awaited spin-off movie. A "Sinister Six" film has been teased for years and next years "Amazing Spider-Man 2" and the following "Amazing Spider-Man" sequels are said to set up things for the super villain group.
Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Jeff Pinkner, Ed Solomon and Drew Goddard are all in charge of bring these two and other projects in the growing "Amazing Spider-Man" universe to the big screen. Kurtzman will write and possibly direct the "Venom" movie and Goddard is tipped to direct the "Sinister Six" movie. They will all be produced by the usual producing suspect, Avi Arad.
I for one am excited about seeing these two films but find it weird that Sony want to make a full length films just about "Venom" and the "Sinister Six". I wonder if Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man will cameo in either one of them? Also, the other exciting thing is to see who Sony will cast as Doc Ock, Sandman, Venom, Mysterio, Vulture and Kraven The Hunter? There's going to be some extremely interesting casting to be announced within the next few months indeed.

First Teaser Banner For "The Amazing Spider-Man 2"
From what you can see in this teaser poster for "The Amazing Spider-Man 2", Spidey is in a whole new world of shit........I mean just look at the villains!!! Rhino, like I said in the post below is in a MASSIVE mechanical Power Rangers MegaZord type of suit, Electro just being shocking as usual and even more shocking and menacing in the new film and the new Green Goblin..........just a fucking green goblin on a glider!!! Spider-Man will be knackered after this battle........First Trailer For "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" Is Here And It Just Looks Okay!
Ok, now where do I start with this, emmmmmm, well yeah, I've been looking forward for the first look trailer for next years "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" for ages now and the other day the very first full length trailer was released online to fans all over the world. The opening shot is just brilliant to be honest, it's just Spider-Man free falling and then web-swinging in between buildings......the usual thing you'd expect to see in a Spider-Man movie and with the advanced CGI, it's a no brainer.
Then we move into the nitty gritty stuff i.e. more details about his mother and father and the on-going fight to find out the truth. Again, some BIG action sequences are added in to keep the viewers happy but for me.....I wasn't. Yeah the action is amazing and will be in 3D but it just looks like there's too much to be honest.
There's too many villains and I know there's now going to be a "Sinister Six" movie coming our way in the next few years, just been confirmed by Sony, but I just feel as though the creators are kind of slightly remaking the underwhelming "Spider-Man 3". In that, too many villains, not enough story. From the looks of this first trailer, we have a repeat of that. Firstly, I really don't like Rhino's suit. It's the big mechanical suit from the "Ultimate Spider-Man" stories. The Rhino suit is just a MASSIVE mechanical Power Rangers MegaZord type of suit to be honest.
I wanted the classic suit. I knew that the suit would've been totally CGI because of the past couple of on-set pics with actor Paul Giamatti in a motion-capture suit, but wasn't expecting this. We only see like one shot of Rhino and that's in the image above. Other than that, the trailer is mostly taken up by Harry Osborn/Green Goblin and Electro.
Anyway, enough chat about Rhino for now. When we first get a glimpse of Dane Dehann's Harry Osborn.......shit goes down. It's like he already knows that Peter Parker is Spider-Man. He reveals that Oscorp has had Peter under surveillance........hmmmmmm, why?! It's one of those teasers that will be answered next year I guess. Well I hope because there were somethings said in the trailers for "The Amazing Spider-Man" that never ever got mentioned in the actual film so here's hoping they don't bullshit us again or I'm out of the next one!!!
All in, Dehaan seems much more sinister in this one, a lot more than Franco ever was. Franco was nice at first but slowly became evil and dark whereas Dehaan.......BOOM, straight away from the moment we see him by the looks of it but they can edit trailers to look like that though.
We then see Chris Cooper as this movies Norman Osborn and boy he is NOTHING like Willem Dafoe's one from the original films. He walks past glass chambers where we see Vultures wings and Doc Ock's tentacles.
Dehaan's Green Goblin looks kickass. His Green Goblin sure is a real green monster rather than the one that Dafoe was like in the 2002 first film. The metal suit was cool but this green skin is a better suit seeing as it is his real skin that's green. He's like a green devil.
And here's another look at him from "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" banner that was released just last week, but I totally forgot to post about it, will do it after this. His body suit is black and looks pretty similar to James Franco's Goblin suit in "Spider-Man 3".
Jamie Foxx's Electro is so awesome looking. I very much think Foxx will steal the show with his performance as the lightning bolt villain.
His action sequences looks so cool and will be great in stunning 3D mode. The only bad thing is that there's a hell of a lot of CGI from what we can see and that's what's making me worried about this new sequel. "Spider-Man 3" had that whole "fuck it, CGI all the way" problem and I honestly don't want this franchise going down the same line because one of the key things that made the first "Amazing Spider-Man" movie good is the lack of CGI, only used when needed i.e. the fight scenes with lizard when no stunt-double could possibly be used. The web-swinging scenes were mostly made with stunt-doubles with a green screen back drop. It was all mostly practical effects whereas this one doesn't look like it's going that way to be honest and that's just shit!!! Some of the shots with Spider-Man and Electro look like scenes out of a video game.....this is a movie, not a video game people.
Anyway, other than all that, the story looks like it'll be interesting because Norman Osborn mentions to Peter that they had a plan for you so obviously we're going to find out way more about his parents past and why they disappeared. Chris Cooper will rock as Norman Osborn. He's badass usually and will be even more in this even though his Norman is rumoured to be on his last legs already and has been since the last film, which was only film number 1 in the newly planned franchise. I just feel as though it doesn't give much character, I mean like there's just action, CGI, action, CGI, Parker's dad, Aunt May, CGI, action........I want more about the characters. Here's the link to the trailer, check it out for yourselves: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nbp3Ra3Yp74
Now, here's what I have to say about the international trailer. The international trailer is truly amazing looking. It's got action, CGI and a lot more about the themes in the film and more about the characters. It's even got some humour just to balance things out evenly. I love this trailer a lot more. If they released this one instead of the other one, I'd have no problems.
Yeah in this one, still not keen on the over usage of CGI, but there's a lot more about the characters. I still think there's too many villains and yeah, Sony have the ultimate villain plan to build a "Sinister Six" spin-off franchise out of it but this is too much for one movie to take. Anyway, this trailer is far superior because we get a lot more insight into what the hell is going to go down in the next movie. One trailer makes the movie look super dark and over the top CGI and the other makes it look normal and the way I want the sequel to be. OH, and guess what Spider-Man calls Electro in this trailer and what I hope to have been kept in the movie.................he calls him SPARKLES!!!! That is just hilarious and so Spider-Man, which is something we don't see from the first trailer.

"The Amazing Spider-Man 2" To Have A Subtitle?
Movieweb.com is reporting that the 2014 Marc Webb "Amazing Spider-Man" sequel is going to have a subtitle. That subtitle.................."The Amazing Spider-Man 2: The Rise Of Electro". Love the title because it means that Jamie Foxx's electrical villain could return in future instalments in Sony and Webb's rebooted franchise. There seems to be a lot more interest in this rebooted franchise this time around.
Sony have also announced that they are planning a set of "Heroes & Villains" spin-off movies from the "Spider-Man" big screen universe. This franchise has some new mega potential of becoming the best superhero franchise ever. Basically it's going to become Sony's "X-Men" franchise.

COMIC-CON: Electrifying First Footage From "The Amazing Spider-Man 2"
Finally fans get a teaser look at next years big Spider-Man sequel, "The Amazing Spider-Man 2". We now have a proper look at Jamie Foxx's Electro on screen and he looks and sounds brilliant. He doesn't much in the footage, but he still looks awesome though. His voice is very sinister also.
I can't wait to see more from him. I think he could actually do a pretty amazing job as Electro and out do the previous films villain, The Lizard, played by Rhys Ifans.

New Official Images From "The Amazing Spider-Man 2"
So here we have our first official look at Jamie Foxx's Electro in "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" and WOW, he is looking awesome. At first I thought he'd not be that good but when you see him here, officially, he looks great and right for the character. Hopefully more images and official posters will follow soon enough.

Mary Jane No Longer In "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" But Will Be In The 3rd Film With New Actress?
So even though Marc Webb and the crew have already filmed scenes that feature new Mary Jane played by Shailene Woodley, Webb has confirmed that those scenes won't make it in the final film. Sony have said that the character WILL be introduced into "The Amazing Spider-Man" franchise at some point, assumed that it's the third film as Emma Stone's Gwen Stacy is rumoured to get killed off in the second film.
Here's what Marc Webb said on the decision on removing her scenes from the highly-anticipated sequel,
It's rumoured that Sony will not be bringing Woodley back for her short-lived role as Mary Jane at all for the third film. It's been said that they are searching for a new actress and that actress could've possibly be found already.
Actress Sarah Gadon has joined "The Amazing Spider-Man" franchise but her role hasn't been announced yet. Fans are guessing she could be the new new Mary Jane in the third film and onwards. This is assumed because Woodley will probably be busy with her upcoming film and it's planned sequels, "Divergent".
Here's what Marc Webb said on the decision on removing her scenes from the highly-anticipated sequel,
"I made a creative decision to streamline the story and focus on Peter and Gwen and their relationship. Shailene is an incredibly talented actress and while we only shot a few scenes with Mary Jane, we all love working with her."

Sony Confirm Third And Fourth "Amazing Spiderman" Films!
Sony have confirmed that Spiderman will indeed return in a third and fourth film in "The Amazing Spiderman" franchise. "The Amazing Spiderman 3" will be released on June 16th 2016 and "The Amazing Spiderman 4" will be released on May 4th 2018.
It's not been confirmed if either director Marc Webb or actor Andrew Garfield will return at all but it's expected that Garfield will indeed return as Spiderman himself. I have a funny feeling that Sony will also confirm a 5th and 6th film too at some point in the next few years.

Whole Bunch Of On-Set Pics From "The Amazing Spider-Man 2"
So finally we get a first look at Paul Giamatti as Rhino in the film. We see Rhino in his pre-CGI suit going head-2-head with Spidey himself, Andrew Garfield. When Giamatti was cast, I thought he was way too funny for the role, but he looks bloody bad ass and perfect for the role of Rhino.
