Sony Revealed Relese Date For "The Amazing Spider-Man 2"

Sony have announced that they plan to release "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" on May 2nd, 2014. It was originally rumored that the film's sequel was set for around 2015, but it seems Sony want it out earlier than that. This is what a Sony exec said on the sequel's release date,
"I think it speaks volumes about our confidence in what we are seeing on the new film and our desire to move quickly on the next installment."
Sony must have mega faith on Marc Webb's 2012 reboot to Sam Raimi's original trilogy. I have faith too, but I would kinda want to see how the first film does first.
