For the last few weeks, it's been rumored that Paul Giamatti has been in talks with Marvel to star in 2014's "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" and that his role may be Rhino. Yesterday, filming begin in New York and Giamatti has been confirmed to star in the upcoming superhero sequel, but it's not confirmed if he's actually playing Rhino or not. It's assumed that he is though, but a new rumor is saying that he may be playing the rebooted version of Doctor Otto Octavious instead.
Actress Felicity Jones has also joined the growing cast in an unknown role, but it's rumored that she's playing the first big screen version of Black Cat or the younger rebooted version of Betty Brant, the role that was originally played by Elizabeth Banks in the first three "Spider-Man" films.
And finally "THOR" actor Colm Feore has also joined the cast of Marc Webb's upcoming Spidey sequel. He's also playing an unknown role too, but it's rumored that he's either playing the rebooted version of Norman Osborn or the first big screen version of Vulture, who was the villain that was meant to appear in the cancelled "Spider-Man 4" with John Malkovich in the starring role.
