Cook Joins "300" Prequel!

Jack O'Connell, known for his role as Cook in the second-generation of "Skins", has been cast in the upcoming "300" prequel, "Battle Of Artmisia". He's been signed up for the role of Calista. This role was previously given to actor Jamie Blackley, but he had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts.

"300" Prequel Possibly Getting Cameos From Butler & Headey!

"300" producer, Bernie Goldman has revealed that the new "300" prequel, "300: Battle Of Artimisia" will have a brand-new cast (obviously), but she said that there is still room for two members of the first film to come back and make cameo appearences at the start of the new film.
Those two cast members are no other than Gerard Butler and Lena Headey. They are both being offered their roles back for a cameo in the new prequel, obviously there is no confirmation wether they will take it or not, but I'm sure they will, as it is just a small cameo.


Gerard Butler confirmed that he will be making a brief cameo in the upcoming prequel.

"Die Hard 5" Director Is Directing "300" Prequel!

"Die Hard 5" Director, Noam Murro has been given the job of director for the upcoming "300" prequel, "300: Battle Of Artmisia". No one knows wether he'll make this first or if he'll do "Die Hard 5" first, seeing as the next sequel, starring Bruce Willis, is set for a 2012 release. Who knows!!!

"Xerxes" Prequel Retitled!

Warner have announced that they have changed the title of "Xerves" to "300: Battle Of Artemisia". The film is confirmed to be a prequel to the Zach Snyder's 2006 film, "300" and will be set about 10 years before the events of the first film.
Warner have also confirmed that Zach Snyder will deffo not be directing the upcoming prequel, as he's busy with their new 2012 "Superman" film. They have narrowed possible director down to two, Noam Murro and Jaume Collet-Serra. Murro was the guy behind the live-action trailers for the "Halo" franchise. He's also up for the role of director for "Die Hard 5". Collet-Serra directed "Orphan" and is currently helming a new "Dracula" film, "Harker".
Gerard Butler is being offered his role again from the first film, Leonidas. It's yet unknown if he'll return or not, but I'm sure he will..........hopefully.

Zach Snyder Returning For "Xerves" Or Not?

It's been reported that Zach Snyder may not be returning to direct "300" prequel, "Xerves". He's reportedly way too busy to return, as right now, he's dealing with "Superman: The Man Of Steel".
While promoting his new film, "Immortals", Mark Cantan, who was the producer of "300" said, "I can't say, I mean, he's got 'Superman.' He's busy. We're busy. I don't think we're going to wait two years. But we'll work together with him and figure out who the filmmaker should be."

Guy Ritchie To Direct "Xerxes"?

Sources have been saying that Warner Bros. have spoken to Guy Ritchie and have asked him to take over from Zach Snyder and direct "Xerxes", which is the upcoming prequel to "300".
It's been reported that Warner want to move ahead with both "The Man Of Steel" and "Xerxes" at the same time, which is impossible for Snyder to do.
