Daniel Craig Is Finished With 007?

So, what a way to restart my blog with a post like this. After much speculation, it looks like Mr Daniel Craig has said he's done with the current James Bond 007 franchise once and for all. The actor over the past few years has said a things that left fans wondering if he ACTUALLY enjoyed/enjoys playing the action-packed British Secret Agent. One minute he loves the role and the next he says he'd rather slit his wrists than come back for more.
Rumour has it, he's been offered an amazing £68Million JUST to stay on for two final films as his era as Bond AND even then, he's said NAH......this guy is nuts!!! This now has of course paved way for a new guy to come in and sweep the mat from under Craig's feet......that man......Mr Tom "Loki" Hiddleston, who, has supposedly had meetings with Bond's producers and SKYFALL and SPECTRE director, Sam Mendes. His name has also been taken out of the bookies bet of who the next James Bond will be.
Hiddleston seems to be an absolute fan fav and in my eyes, yes, he'd be perfect, was never my first choice but the more you look at him, he's 100% that CLASSIC James Bond type....
An announcement is reportedly JUST around the corner, regarding the next guy to take over from Craig, if all is true about him leaving because this was just reported a few weeks/month ago and it came out that it was just a rumour but this time round, the news comes from a VERY CLOSE member of the BOND team, so maybe this is indeed it for Daniel Craig. He's had an amazing run and the way SPECTRE ended, it was perfect for HIS Bond and creates a path for the new guy to be called in to have some fun in the old Aston Martin.

"BOND 24" To Carry On From "SKYFALL"

"Skyfall" writer John Logan has confirmed that the next 2015 James Bond film will continue on where the 2012 50th anniversary film ended. Though "Bond 24" hasn't been tipped as a direct sequel, it's assumed that it will seeing as Logan commented saying that the themes, characters and ideas from 2012's "Skyfall" will carry on to the 2015 film and possibly the next one. With Logan returning to write the next film and possibly his third film, fans then know there won't be the same cock up with the 2008 direct sequel to 2006's "Casino Royale", "Quantum Of Solace". If we've got a good writer and a good director, then a direct sequel(s) could work out well for once in the 50 year old film franchise.
It's been rumoured that "Skyfall", "Bond 24" and "Bond 25" will be Logan's, director Sam Mendes's and present Bond, Daniel Craig's James Bond trilogy. It's also rumoured that they will all leave the franchise after the 25th film, which is assumed to have a November 2017/18 release date.

Blofeld To Return In 24th James Bond Film?

So after a long ass 50 year battle over the rights of both James Bond villains SPECTRE and Blofeld, MGM have won them back from the Kevin McClory. Winning back the rights could mean big things for future instalments in the James Bond film franchise. We could very much see the grand return of the much loved Bond villain in the 2015 "BOND 24" with the great Sam Mendes directing the villains big return.
McClory had the rights to SPECTRE and Blofeld for nearly 60 years because he has said to have created them along with Bond creator Ian Fleming back in the 1950's.
There's been speculation that "SHERLOCK" star Benedict Cumberbatch and "Masters Of Sex" star Michael Sheen are both up for the lead villain role in the next Bond film, which now could be Blofeld after all. I personally think it would be good to see the return of Blofeld in the Bond films. It would also be good to see the return of SPECTRE too because Quantum is pretty much the new rebooted version of that evil organization so why not just bring back the original group and vamp it up a bit?!

"BOND 24" Coming Out In 2015 With Sam Mendes Back In The Directors Chair!

It's just been confirmed that Sam Mendes WILL return to the world of James Bond and direct "BOND 24". The next James Bond film will be released on October 23rd 2015 with Daniel Craig returning for sure as the lead role of 007. Here's what Mendes said about returning to direct the next instalment in the long running movie franchise,

"I am very pleased that by giving me the time I need to honour all my theatre commitments, the producers have made it possible for me to direct Bond 24. I very much look forward to taking up the reins again, and to working with Daniel Craig, Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli for a second time."

I am just like "HOLY SHIT" right now because this is awesome news for fans. 2015 will be the year for big franchises on the big screen. From "Terminator" to "Star Wars" and "Avengers" to now "James Bond 24"........just aw!!!

UPDATE: The next James Bond film is rumoured to be under the working title of "Devil May Care". This title is based on the 2008 book by author Sebastian Faulks. It's plot is a sequel to Ian Fleming's classic "The Man With The Golden Gun". I assume that the film adaption WILL NOT be based on the book in full as in be a sequel to "TMWTGG", but more likely to take the title and the villain, the Bond girl, settings, etc................but no actual details on it's being a direct sequel.

Sam Mendes Back For Further "BOND" Films?

So even though "SKYFALL" director Sam Mendes officially confirmed that he was not coming back for another James Bond film, fans and MGM were sad to see this. Directors such as Shane "Iron Man 3" Black, Ang "Life Of Pi" Lee and David "Harry Potter" Yates have been mentioned as his replacement in the past week or so.
Now, according to Showbizz411 have confirmed that Mendes is indeed actually in serious negotiations with the studio to return as the director of not only "BOND 24", but also "BOND 25" too.........THIS IS EPIC!!! Mendes done an absolutely amazing job with "SKYFALL".
I personally thought it was the greatest James Bond film of all time. Obviously I don't think the next film will be as EPIC as this one was, but it could be up there though. Mendes could actually make a successful trilogy with the 23rd, 24th and 25th films. This could be his "Dark Knight" type of trilogy. Daniel Craig is also expected to definitely return and that the 25th film will reportedly be his last film.

Christopher Nolan Possibly Directing "BOND 24"

Rumours are spreading online that "The Dark Knight" trilogy director, Chris Nolan, has been approached to direct the next James Bond film. Nolan has expressed interest before in helming a Bond film, but nothing has ever been confirmed and neither has this.
Personally I think Nolan would direct a great fresh Bond film, but he has said that if he did take over at some point, that he'd totally reboot the franchise again and bring in a new actor for the role of James Bond. I love Daniel Craig as Bond right now, so this is why I don't think Nolan should direct a film just yet. If he did direct a Bond film, I think Tom Hardy would be perfect for his James Bond. But the one actor I think should play Bond is Michael Fassbender!!!!

"BOND 24 & 25" Working As Two-Part Story?

After the amazing success of new Bond film, "SKYFALL", writer John Logan has been signed on by MGM to write not only a "BOND 24", but also a 25th film too. He is expected to write the both of them together and they are rumored to be shoot back-2-back as they will work as a two-parter. Other than "Casino Royale" and "Quantum Of Solace", "BOND 24 & 25" will be the first two films in the long-running franchise to work as a true two-parter story. "Casino" and "Quantum" only shared certain elements, where as these two are going to be like "Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 1 & 2" type of two-parter.
Now this could either work both ways because the franchise is not used to having direct sequels and "Quantum" wasn't the best move to make, but seeing as John Logan is back, it could break the curse and turn out well for everyone. And seeing as present Bond, Daniel Craig could be finishing after "BOND 24 & 25"...........surely he wants to finish on a good move, with a great writer and director.
On the note of director, Sam Mendes has mentioned that he'd love another crack at a future Bond film, most likely the next film or so. MGM have also said that they would love to have him back to, but they are also looking at other directors just in case something goes wrong and he can't come back. Danny Boyle has once again stated that he would love to direct a future Bond film. He directed the Olympic short film, "Happy & Glorious" which starred both Daniel Craig and The Queen. It worked as a tribute to the 50th anniversary of Bond.
Boyle said this about directing a Bond film,

‘I enjoy the Bond movies, always have and always will, but I have no plans to direct one. I don’t know who came up with the story, but please tell them I’m very flattered to be thought of!’

Producers Looking For New Bond Already?

While speaking to "SKYFALL" actress Naomi Harris let slip that the studio behind the Bond franchise are already looking ahead for the next actor to take over the role of James Bond once Daniel Craig leaves. Craig recently confirmed that he has signed on for two more films after his 23rd adventure as the British secret spy. Harris named British black actor, Idris Elba and said that he had recently met with producers about a role in a future Bond film(s). Elba has been rumoured to be a extremely strong contender for the role and he said that he would love to get the chance to play Bond.
Here's what Harris said about Elba meeting with the producers,

"I didn’t realize that there was this talk and then I did a film with Idris [Elba] and he said that he met Barbara Broccoli [James Bond producer] and that it does seem like there is a possibility in the future that there could very well be a black James Bond. And I would have to vote for Idris because I just finished working with him and he’s a great guy."

I personally think he would be a great James Bond, but how would you explain the sudden change in the characters change in skin colour? You can explain it when it comes to The Doctor regenerating, but Bond, you can't. Elba is 40 and by the time Craig finishes off with his final two films, Elba could be about 45/46 at the most and by that time could be too old for the role. I still want to see Michael Fassbender get the role though.

James Bond's BIG 50th Is Here!!!

Today marks the massive 50th anniversary of our awesome British spy, James Bond. The first official film, "Dr No" was released 50 years ago today with Scotland's national treasure, Sir Sean Connery as the very first actor to portray James Bond in the canon films. Connery ran from 1962-1967. His films were, "Dr No", "From Russia With Love", "Goldfinger", "Thunderball" and finally "You Only Live Twice". He then returned in 1971 in his final film in the canon films, "Diamonds Are Forever".
Connery was a good Bond, but I never really liked him at first. I prefered Roger Moore. I like Connery a lot more now when I watch his films.
When Connery left in 67, shit actor George Lazenby took over the role of Bond in "On Her Majesty's Secret Service". It was shite and he was shite, so he only got one film.
Once Connery completed his final film in 71, TV's Roger Moore took over the role of James Bond and became a world icon and another national treasure. Fans loved him and he stayed on longer from 1971-1985. His films were, "Live And Let Die", "The Man With The Golden Gun", "The Spy Who Loved Me", "Moonraker", "The Your Eyes Only", "Octopussy" and finally "A View To A Kill".
Personally I fucking loved Roger Moore and I especially loved "Live And Let Die". Both the film and the song by Paul McCartney and Wings were superb.
Once Moore was done with the role, Timothy Dalton took over and starred in "The Living Daylights" and "Licence To Kill" from 1987-1989. Dalton was a good Bond and I wish he got at least one or two more films, but hey it's cool.
Next to take on the role of James Bond, was TV's Pierce Brosnan. He played Bond from 1995-2002. His films had some ups and downs, but mainly ups due to the fact that Brosnan was the fucking ultimate James Bond for me, we'll until Daniel Craig came in and took over in the 2006 reboot. To me Brosnan was just so fast paced and slick and just awesome really.
His best film was GoldenEye, which was his first film. He then starred in "Tomorrow Never Dies", "The World Is Not Enough" and lastly his not so great 2002 final film, "Die Another Day".
And finally, Daniel Craig came in and helped reboot the beloved franchise with 2006's "Casino Royale" and that, I think, is the best James Bond film to date. He was so different and fresh and fans loved him. It was more real than the other films because he was just fresh into his 00 role and there was no Q, so that meant not as much crazy as gadgets, actually, we'll none really, but that was good though. It was more of a Bourne meets Bond type film. It had so much twists and turns and shockers. It was unlike any other Bond film that we've seen before.
Craig then starred in a follow-up in 2008 with "Quantum Of Solace". It had much more action, but the story was a bit weak. They were trying to hard to be as amazing as the first film. The other bad side of "Quantum" was that it was a direct sequel, which has never happened before in the Bond franchise. Trying to do a direct sequel in a franchise that's never had one before, we'll kind of fails big time.
But for me, Daniel Craig is the ultimate James Bond. He's definitely the best Bond to date followed by Pierce Brosnan and Roger Moore. Craig is just so energetic and amazing in the role.
Now, Craig is starring in his third outing as the British spy, which is under the cool title of "SKYFALL".
Not much has been revealed about the new film, but it's said to be going back to classic Bond and back to the way the reboot was with the realism. It's also the first time that Q will be back in the films, but this time he's played by a young guy, Ben Whishaw. The trailers are amazing and it looks so much darker and more serious and nothing like other Bonds. Like I said, it looks like its going to be more real and intense than the 2006 reboot. At the same time the film is going back to classic Bond with all the gadgets and just that type of feel and look, even though it's darker and more serious too.
Overall, the James Bond films have been there every year or so to take you away from the real world and into the world of over the top action with hot Bond girls, cheesy and cool dialogue, awesome soundtracks and just great acting from the lead villains and James Bond himself. You always finish watching the end of each film with a smile and you just want more and more.
Anyway, back onto what is happening today on the 50th birthday of Bond. This day also marks the release of the new films opening theme song, which is sung by the beautiful Adele. But the official single won't be released until October 29th in the shops.
It was rumoured for ages that she was singing the theme for "SKYFALL", but it was confirmed that she was singing and writing it after all and uploaded a picture of the lyrics up on her Twitter just a few days back, which gave fans the final overall confirmation.
Just listened to the song late last night before the official release and I have to say that it is one of the definitive Bond songs to date. At first I liked it, but didn't love it. Now I totally adore it. Adele's voice is just so perfect and the fact that she's singing along with the James Bond score is just genius even though it's so simple to do. Here's the link to the official release of the song on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7HKoqNJtMTQ
Today will also see the release of the "Everything Or Nothing: The Untold Story Of 007" documentary in cinemas all over the UK. Here's a clip of past Bond, Pierce Bronsan: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xXvIIt1le0o
And finally, Sky Movies have started up their Sky Movies 007 channel, which sadly will only be running through October and will finish. On a high note, Sky Movies have got all control over the film franchises rights and will be the only channels to play all 22 of the films.
Here's the trailer that's being shown on other Sky channels: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m2FAWb5Lch8
It's a fucking amazingly edited video to show all of the Bonds racing each other........HOW COOL IS THAT?!

Sherlock Holmes Playing Villain In Next Bond Film?

So this is an awesome rumour that I hope is true, but it looks like the TV version of Sherlock Holmes, Benedict Cumberbatch, is being considered for the role of the lead villain in the next James Bond film.
Express UK's Day & Night are reporting that he may actually indeed already have the role, but there's been no real confirmation on this news yet, but I'm assuming there will be soon enough.
Here's what Express UK said on Cumberbatch and the role of the villain in "BOND 24",

"Benedict is considered perfect Bond villain material," the site reports. "Work on the next film will begin next year and the plan is for Benedict to be on board. He grew up watching Bond, so it would be a childhood ambition fulfilled. Playing a Bond villain is one of the plum roles in film history and he'd jump at the chance."

Daniel Craig Orders Two More Vodka Martini's Shaken, Not Stirred!

It's just been confirmed today by an "in the loop" reporter over at a James Bond MI6 fansite that Mr Daniel Craig will return as Bond in the 24th and 25th film. Now there has been no official confirmation from Craig or anyone over at MGM, but MI6 fansite did mention that confirmation will be arriving pretty soon from one of those camps.
By the time he's done with them, Craig will have turned 48 and by that time will be ready for the "passing of the torch" situation where another actor, hopefully Michael Fassbender, will come in and take over.
It was rumored for a while that "SKYFALL" would be Daniel Craig's last outing as British spy, James Bond. But now it seems he's coming back for more!!!

The "Dragon Tattoo" Sequel Release Date Delayed!

It's been announced that the sequel to the 2001 remake of "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" has been delayed because the script isn't yet finished. "The Girl Who Played With Fire" was set for a late 2013 release date, but now it seems it could be out in 2014 sometime instead. Steven Zaillian is penning the script as we speak, but he was to have it done by now, but hasn't.

Two New Images From "Skyfall"

A New Awesome Holy Fucking Shit Trailer For "Skyfall"

So a new full length trailer for the upcoming Bond film "Skyfall" has been finally released. It's packed with so much action and so much new scenes, that it's too much to take in, in what's happening second after second. We finally get a good proper look at Javier Bardem's villain and boy is he fucking creepy looking. He's got pure blonde hair, but looks scary. He seems as though he's like The Joker of the Bond films. He looks as though he'll be totally different from any other Bond villain. He's well sadistic too! He's seriously breaking James Bond down..........piece by piece, mentally and physically!
An interesting thing about Bardems character is one of the things he says to Bond in this exact scene, when talking about "M". He says to Bond something like, "this is what she made us". Now could Bardems character, Raoul Silva, who is rumored to be an updated rebooted version of classic Bond villain, Blofeld, be an ex-MI6 agent or even worse..........an ex 00 like Alec Travilian aka 006 in "GoldenEye" played by Sean Bean? Only time will tell!
We also get to see "Q" for the when he meets 007 for the first time in the trailer too. Looks as though it'll be a nice wee scene to watch. Definitely expecting some banter between the two of them in this film, if not it that scene alone. "Q" introduces himself as the Quartermaster. never even knew that's what the "Q" was short for.
And Bond gets shot for the first time ever in any Bond film or book. Whither he's wearing a bulletproof vest or not, it still shows us that James Bond is still only human. The interesting thing about his shooting is that Eve (Naomi Harris) is the one that pulls the trigger. Eve is the new (still rumored to be) MoneyPenny in the film. Another interesting thing is that "M" is giving her the order to shoot Bond.
And one more thing, the MI6 Headquarters looks as though it's gets blowing to hell after seeing this quick flash shot halfway through the 2 and a half minute trailer.
Here's the link to the trailer on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vgr2syY_OU4&feature=player_embedded

New Bond Game Coming!

Seeing as this year is the 50th anniversary of favorite British spy James Bond, merchandise is being released left right and center. And one of the things that's getting released is a new game for the X-Box, PS3, etc. The new game is called "007 Legends" and is based around the best Bond moments, villains, girls, cars, action scenes, etc.
It will feature one Bond, Daniel Craig and a hell load of fun. Craig's taking over the role of previous Bonds in each level, or as the game calls them, missions.
There are a total of six missions. Mission 1 is set in "Moonraker" (here's the trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kvpBYTxkVZ0) and Mission 2 is set in "On Her Magjesty's Secret Service" (here's the trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7WmmKvxflGc&feature=relmfu) The trailers for 3, 4, 5 and 6 have still to be revealed.
