"Independence Day" Sequels Going Ahead Without Will Smith! Two Other Cast Members Returning!

Director Roland Emmerich has confirmed that his "Independence Day" sequels are going ahead but without lead man Will Smith. He stated that he's just too dear to bring him back now. Two cast members are returning though, Jeff Goldblum and Bill Pulman are expected to reprise their roles and David Levison and President Whitmore.
I'm sorry but without Will Smith or any BIG actors attached.........THESE SEQUELS WILL SUCK!!!! You need Will Smith back or another BIG actor to take over. Pullman and Goldblum are just boring old actors now. They're just coming back because they are desperate for money.

Will Smith For President?

"Idependence Day" and "2012" director, Ronald Emmerich has dropped a MASSIVE hint in an interview with MTV, saying that Will Smith's character in the first film could become the President in the next two sequels.
For the next two films, Emmerich plans them both to be alternate reality kind of films. Sounds pretty awesome. I guess Smith playing the President could be cool. I really could see him playing Obama in a biopic of his life so far. Would be good to see.

"Independence Day II" is set for release sometime in 2012.
"Independence Day III" is set for release sometime in 2013.

FOX WANT "INDEPENDENCE DAY 2 & 3"

20th Century Fox have just finally announced that "Independence Day 2" is on. But not only are they wanting film 2, but they've also signed a contract for film 3 and they are both gonna be filmed back-to-back with each other.
They also supposedly have Will Smith and Roland Emmerich (director of the first film) back on board. Fox stated that they hope to begin filming next year for a 2012 release. But wait, according to Roland Emmerich's previous film "2012", the world's surppost to end....SHIT! They better bring the films out before that then.
