First Look At Harry & Lloyd 20 Years On!

So here we have Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels together again as Harry and Lloyd for the first time in almost 20 years. I'm honestly looking forward to seeing this sequel. Wish it was made ages ago but it'll still be exciting to see them together on screen again.

Jeff Daniels Confirms "Dumb & Dumber 2" Start Date!

While on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon", original "Dumb & Dumber" actor Jeff Daniels confirmed that the long-awaited sequel is definitely back on and filming begins this September. Here's what he said, 

"I'll believe it's happening when I'm there, staring at Jim Carrey, but it looks like we're starting in September. Everybody is back, Jim in particular. It's going to be so great to be with Jim Carrey again. He's one of the best we've got. It will be the 20th Anniversary of the first one next year. I've seen the script. It's hysterical. We're middle-aged, we're not pretending we aren't. We're middle-aged and we're still that stupid."

So this is good news to hear that it's back on and both Daniels and Jim Carrey are back for good. I'm actually looking forward to this sequel, even though Carrey and Daniels are well past their sell-buy dates, but still, this should be good to see where Harry and Lloyd are now in their 50's. 

"Dumb & Dumber" Sequel Gets Official Title!

Bobby and Peter Farrelly have finally made some sense out of these rumours of the on/off/on/off/on again "Dumb & Dumber" sequel. They have announced via their Twitter that the script for the sequel is nearly finished and filming should be happening soon. They also confirmed the title for the next film. It's under the new title of "Dumb & Dumber To".

"Dumb & Dumber 2" Plot Details!

While promoting their UK release of "The Three Stooges", Digital Spy got a chance to ask Bobby Farrelly about the possible plot for the on/off/on again "Dumb & Dumber" sequel.

What’s the current status of the Dumb and Dumber sequel?

“It’s definitely something we’ve been hoping for a long time. We always wanted to get the two original guys Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels back together and see what they’re up to. Now it’s almost 20 years after the original and the other guys are in a point in their career where they had so much fun the first time that they’re willing to do it. We will make this movie.”

Are you still hoping to shoot next year?

“We were hoping to shoot it very soon – this fall – but that didn’t come to pass because of scheduling conflicts. Jeff has a successful TV show over here now so we have to work around that. We are planning on shooting it this coming spring and hopefully it will be out by next fall. That’s the plan and that will be our next movie, we’ve already written the script. We’re very anxious to get back in business with those two guys.”

Are you able to give us any hints about the storyline? Have Lloyd and Harry had a lucky break yet after missing that bikini bus?

“I can tell you that there is no growth out of either one of them and it’s 20 years later. What is funny about the original is that they’re grown men who are complete losers and when the studio came to us about a sequel, we were like, ‘Loads of kids are losers and they’re dumb.’ We didn’t see any value in the sequel so we backed out of it, but now these guys are in regular life and they’re still basically children at heart. The story revolves around the fact that one of them may have sired a child. They want to go and find the child because he’s having a kidney problem and he wants to ask him for one of his kidneys.”

After reading the interview above, it sounds like very good news for the sequel. It may just happen after all.

"Dumb & Dumber" Sequel Still A Maybe?

Jeff Daniels recently spoke to Hollywood.com about the possibilities of the highly-anticipated "Dumb & Dumber" sequel going back into production again. He confirmed that fellow dumby Jim Carrey had left the project a few weeks back, but now it seems it might just happen.

Here's what he told Hollywood.com, 

“We almost were able to kinda get it done this year, but they’re still working on the script. Jim wants to do it, I want to do it, the Farrellys want to do it… We’re all hoping that it’ll come together early next year.”

Even Jeff Daniels Says "Dumb & Dumber" Sequel Is Dead!

While promoting his new HBO series, "The Newsroom", which by the way looks really good, Jeff Daniels was questioned on the fate of the planned "Dumb & Dumber" sequel. Basically he confirmed that it is deffo dead for good, just like what fellow star, Jim Carrey said last week.

"Dumb & Dumber" Sequel No More!

That's it! It's all over before it even started! The planned "Dumb & Dumber" titled "Dumber & Dumber To" is according to Jim Carrey a "no-brainer". Carrey has left the project saying that the studio behind the upcoming direct sequel to the 1994 comedy classic have "showed a lack of ethusiasm regarding the project".
Filming for the sequel was set to begin later this year, but by the looks of it now, it ain't happening unless the studio try their fucking hardest in getting Carrey back on board.
It's quite sad that the sequel isn't happening anymore, because I was really looking forward to seeing Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels together again as Lloyd and Harry.

"Dumb And Dumber" Sequel Filming This September!

Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels are back in action and will hopefully make us piss our panties again, even though it's like nearly 20 years on! The long-awaited sequel was confirmed the other day and filming will begin filming this September with the Farrelly Brothers returning to take the helm on the new film. They are also writing the script too, so you know that it should be good.

"Dumb & Dumber 2" Script Is Being Penned!

"Dumb & Dumber" director, Bobby Farrelly confirmed that a script for the REAL "Dumb & Dumber 2" is being penned as we speak by "Sex Drive" writers, Sean Andres and John Morris. Farrelly hopes that he will manage to reunite the original cast members, Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels.

Third "Dumb & Dumber"....Well Technically The Second Film To The Original On Its Way?

Bobby Farrelly said that a "Dumb & Dumber 3" is still very possible. Well, when I say "Dumb & Dumber 3", I really mean "Dumb & Dumber 2", if you don't wanna count the 2003 prequel, "Dumb & Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd".
This is what Farrelly said on the subject, "(Dumb & Dumber) has run a bunch of times on TV in the states, and kids will come up and they'll be able to quote lines from that – lines that I've long forgotten. If we could get those two guys back together, Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels that might be a worthwhile sequel – and that ball is in motion. We're starting to think about what those two dimwits would be doing twenty-years later in life, and hopefully we'll be able to come up with something worthy of a sequel."
Here's hoping that Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels will agree with Bobby Farrelly and agree to comeback for one more time, even though it is like 15 years ago since the first film. If they do it properly, the sequel could really work.
