Doctor Who News - The Impossible Girl Is No More......CONFIRMED!!!

Just days after news broke that current companion, Jenna Louise Coleman, was leaving or has already quit Doctor Who, Coleman herself has confirmed yesterday that she will indeed be leaving the show an that she has already filmed her final scenes. She has teased that her final scenes will be emotional for fans to see. Coleman confirmed her departure on BBC Radio 1 show to DJ Nick Grimshaw,

“I have left the TARDIS, I have, it’s happened. I’ve filmed my last scenes. It was emotional. It’s been in the works for a very long time."

Jenna Louise added that she discussed her departure over a year ago with Head Writer Steve Moffat. They were discussing what the perfect ending for Clara would be. It's been said that she will be killed off near the end of this new series, which begins tonight on BBC One at 7:40pm.
Jenna Louise Coleman's Clara Oswald is now the longest lasting companion alongside Karen Gillan's Amy Pond in the NuWho seasons of Doctor Who. Both have lasted a whole three years on the long running British sci-fi show.
It's going to be sad to see her go but at the end of the day, everyone needs to leave Doctor Who at some point. No one can stay there forever. I wonder how she'll die or who or what will kill her? This could mean that Game Of Thrones actress, Maisie Williams COULD be playing The Doctor's next companion.......

Doctor Who News - Jenna Louise Coleman Has Quit Doctor Who?!

It has been YET AGAIN reported that Doctor Who star, Jenna Louise Coleman, will be bowing out this year as latest companion Clara Oswald. Every year a new series begins and every year rumors claim that Coleman has either quit or is planning to quit or is being killed off, etc. Fans usually take these reports with a grain of salt but this time, insiders are saying that the ex-Emmerdale actress is not part of the cast for this years Christmas Special, which was confirmed last week to feature the grand return of series regular, Alex Kingston as River Song, as she has signed on to a £10 million series for ITV about Queen Victoria, with Coleman playing the title role of Victoria.
This seems to come across more believable that previous reports about her departing as Peter Capaldi's companion. Ever since Game Of Thrones actress, Maisie Williams, signed on for an important role in the new series of Doctor Who, fans have been suggesting that she may indeed be playing the next companion, which would make sense for Coleman to leave.
Williams is rumored to be play The Doctor's granddaughter, Susan, who hasn't appeared on the show fully since 1964 when First Doctor, William Hartnell, left her behind on Earth. It would be very interesting to see if this fan theory is true.
It'll be sad to see Jenna Louise Coleman's Clara Oswald leave the show after all this time but I guess everyone in Doctor Who has to move on and plus, it's Doctor Who..........they always come back, even if they die........

Doctor Who returns to our small screens this Saturday on BBC One at 7:40pm.

BBC Have Made A Stunningly Beautiful "Doctor Who" 50th Anniversary Tribute Trailer!

OH MY GOD!!!! This is just one sexy ass "Doctor Who" tribute video for the 50th anniversary. There's no footage yet from "The Day Of The Doctor", but there is mention of it and it tells fans to #savetheday for the 50th on 23/11/13. The trailer is just stunning. I would love to know how they made it because once you see it, you'll be amazed with it.
The trailer starts with the Police Officer who is the first character to appear on the pilot of the show back 50 years ago.
It then moves into The First Doctor watching a member of U.N.I.T being exterminated by a classic Dalek. In this room, there's loads of items that pop up like The Doctor's fez and the 9th/10th's sonic screwdriver. It then moves over to featuring other Doctors such as the 2nd, 3rd and 4th.
We also see the classic Master. Sarah-Jane Smith is seen holding a crystal ball, so amazing and sad and happy to see Smith back again. Hopefully there will be something said about her in the 50th episode. She then changes into Clara. Matt Smith's Doctor is providing an amazing and powerful voice over throughout the whole trailer.
The camera then flies through loads of characters from the show. Doctors and companions and villains are shown standing.
The last shot goes past David Tennant's Doctor and finally over to Smith's Doctor who grabs his sonic and says "The Day Of The Doctor". It's sad to see him because we all know that just one more ep after "The Day Of The Doctor" and he's gone. It's also exciting because there's going to be a new Doctor!!!!! Matt Smith will always be MY Doctor though!!!! Well him and Tennant!!!! I'll probably say the same about Peter Capaldi when I see him in action for the first time either this Christmas or next year in his first full series.
Anyway, the 11th point's his sonic up into the sky and the camera zooms away up into space to reveal the date of the 50th and the #savetheday hashtag. It's amazing, amazing, amazing!!! I just love this trailer sooooooo much, even though it shows bugger all footage from the SUPER highly-anticipated 50th anniversary episode. A trailer with official footage from "The Day Of The Doctor" is said to be finally released around November 9th though, so hopefully this is for defo.

Peter Capaldi Is Our New 12th Doctor!

"The Thick Of It" star Peter Capaldi is our new 12th Doctor from this Christmas onwards for the next few years.  At the age of 55, he is the same age as the First Doctor, William Hartnell, when he first started 50 years ago. I never once thought he would get given the role. He was announced as the next Doctor by presenter Zoe Ball on Sunday night near the end of the BBC special "Doctor Who Live: The Next Doctor". My reaction was insane!!! My girlfriend recorded my reaction and put it on Facebook. It's all real and I never faked it at all. That was my reaction for an actor who was never my first choice. Can you imagine what it would have been like if the actor who was chosen WAS my top choice?! I would put up the video on here but it's on Facebook only and you'd have to be my friend to see it, sorry guys. Here's a link to the intense moment when Ball announced Capaldi as the new Doctor: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Zim8zL3Q5k
I never at once thought an actor of his age would be given the role of The Doctor. I thought the BBC would keep going for a younger actor, but obviously not. Capaldi is an extremely amazing actor and hats off to him for getting the role after seeing him as the over the top foul-mouthed character, Malcolm Tucker in "The Thick Of It". I thinks he's the only actor to play The Doctor, who's said FUCK like over 100 times in his career. Here's a link to Malcolm Tucker saying FUCK almost 90 times in "The Thick Of It" big-screen spin-off "In The Loop" with the late James Gandolfini: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lLlEdEx3tn8
When I see Capaldi, I can't think of any other older actor to play The Doctor, well other than the amazing John Hurt, but I don't need to say anything else about that obviously. Capaldi will nail it as an older Doctor. When I look at him, especially in his wee announcement video, I can just see an older Doctor, like an older version of either Matt Smith or David Tennant looking back at me. Peter Capaldi IS the older Doctor!!! I can't wait to see what he's like when Smith regenerates into him. I think it's going to be hilarious, "Oh god am old again" type of hilarious. And just think of the chemistry he'll have with his younger companion Clara, played by the smart and awesome Jenna Louise Coleman. It's going to be great TV.
I'm just so excited now. New Doctor, new opening credits, new arragement of the theme tune, new costume, new TARDIS, new sonic screwdriver (well it's assumed that they're all going to be fresh new versions to go with the fresh new Doctor). OH, here's the link to Capaldi's wee announcement video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VDGzzGRKukE

"Doctor Who: Asylum Of The Daleks" Review (SPOILERS)

Now I know I'm a bit late with this review but fuck it I'm doing it anyway and as River Song says, "SPOILERS" in this review, so if you haven't yet seen this episode........DON'T BE FUCKING STUPID AND READ THIS REVIEW!!!
The opening episode to the 7th series of "Doctor Who", which by the way has a new type of font for the actors names and a brand spanking new logo too,
saw The Doctor reunited with his faithful companion, Amy Pond, and her Roman soldier of a husband, Rory Williams. During the episode, Amy and Rory are finalising their divorce from each other, but like everything, The Doctor saves that from happening.
To be quite frank about the both of them, they were quite boring in this episode. It was more about The Doctor, the Daleks and the surprise appearence of new companion, Jenna-Louise Coleman, who is under the name of Oswin Oswald in this episode, but is said to be called Clara from the Xmas episode on-wards (which was meant to be her original first appearence on the show). So now she's said to be called Clara Oswin.
Anyway, the episode opens with The Doctor being summened to the old planet of Skaro, which is the Daleks home planet, to help a girl who turns out to be a human Dalek that's actually lured The Doctor to the planet to meet with the Dalek high council or as it's know in the show as The Parliment Of The Daleks. On that planet, he's reunited with Amy and Rory, who were kidnapped from present-day Earth by two other human Daleks.
The Daleks reveal that they want help from him. They want him to travel down to their Dalek prisoned planet, known as the Asylum. A planet known for keeping the most dangerous and deranged Daleks safe from the rest of the universe. Down there is where a distress call from a young girl, Oswin, has came from. Oswin had crash landed onto the planet and destroyed it's force field which could mean that the Daleks down there could come out and destroy anything in their way. This is why The Doctor must "save the Daleks" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iMKZYnkFwmw) and save the girl from the insane and dangerous ones and fix the force field.
So The Doctor, Amy and Rory travel down and try and save Oswin and fix the force field. Obviously as usual on "Doctor Who", nothing's that simple in each show of each series. The Daleks come back to life and reak havoc on the team of three. During all of this, Oswin is helping, as she has full control of the computers all around The Doctor. She's making sure he gets to her on time to save her before things get even more dangerous. I tell you, when we first saw who Oswin was, I literally was like "HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!! HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?!" Jenna-Louise Coleman was absolutely outstanding as the new companion, if this is her for sure. She's completely different from Amy Pond. I don't think I can sit back and compare the both, because they're both totally different personalities. All I'm saying is that she will do so well on the show.
The other thing is that the previous crew on-board Oswin's ship, the Alaska, have became human Daleks, because they haven't got the bracelit that Oswin, The Doctor, Amy and Rory have, which stops them from contracting the nanogene cloud which will turn them into human Daleks. Amy looses her and slowly begins to change.
Finally after all of this is over and The Doctor finally gets to Oswin, this is where the tears start to run down your face. It sadly turns out that Oswin is just the human memory of a Dalek, who is chained up in a room and who can see all that's going on on the planet or The Asylum Of The Daleks. It's quite sad really. The Doctor tried so hard, but it turns out his future companion could possibly already be a fully functional Dalek.
Now on one yet knows if The Doctor will, when he physically meets her face-2-face, go back and save her in time before she becomes a full on Dalek. Maybe this is Clara Owsin from the future. It could be a whole River Song type story. We meet Clara Oswin at the end of her life and then meet her fully again at the start. All I know is that when she returns at Christmas, fans will be ready for her.
On a high note, before saying goodbye to The Doctor and destroying the Asylum, she whipped the minds of every single Daleks that lives in the whole universe. So when The Doctor traveled back to Skaro, the Daleks never had a scooby-doo who he was. The only thing the asked was "Doctor Who?". I take this question must be getting close to being answered. Maybe on the shows 50th anniversery, fans might be treated to a surprise announcement being who The Doctor is actually called.
Overall it was a very action-packed and interesting opener to, what is already said to be a cinematic like series. Jenna-Louise Coleman was superb, Matt Smith was amazing as usual, Amy and Rory need to step it up a bit before they leave for good and the Daleks are back to their old tricks again. The only down side was that there weren't as much classic Daleks as I thought there'd be. I did expect more. The only two that I noticed was an original one from the 60's/70's and the machine-gun type on from the late 80's series with Sylvester McCoy as The 7th Doctor. So that was a wee bit disappointing. Other than that, well done Steven Moffat.
Next weeks episode sees The Doctor meeting up with Amy and Rory and this time Rory's father and heading to Egypt to meet Queen Nefetiti. There, he gets a call saying that a spaceship is getting ready to crash on Earth. On board this ship are Dinosaurs, hence the title "Dinosaurs On A Spaceship". Exciting or what?!
