Final Wolverine Film To Explore The Father/Son Relationship Between Logan & Xavier!

Since announced earlier this year that Hugh Jackman's 3rd solo Wolverine film will mark is FINAL appearance as Logan, Patrick Stewart has announced that he'll appear in Wolverine 3 alongside Jackman's final chapter.
Fans have been wondering where the final film will take the duo. Rumors have been circulating for ages on what the final film will be about. Hugh Jackman has expressed interest in adapting the "Old Man Logan" comic book arc, and fans have gotten excited about that prospect as well as express their sadness to see the end of Hugh Jackman's, what, 16/17 year rein as Wolverine, well 17 or so once this next solo movie is out.
Hugh Jackman has since announced that the film will dive deep into the relationship between Xavier and Logan, exploring the father/son relationship that's, well, blossomed, through the X-Men franchise.
I would be happy to see this ending to Jackman's rein as Wolverine. Have his final film with the man who practically was his father figure to him through the franchise. It'll be sad to see them both together for one final time before, we can all assume, Wolverine gets rebooted and a new, younger actor is brought in to take over.
And on that note, Hugh Jackman has expressed interest to see Mad Max - Fury Road actor, Tom Hardy, take over the Wolverine role. Now that's a not bad piece of fan casting right there people. But, if you don't like that, then I've got one thing to say to you..........

Bryan Singer Confirms That An Apocalypse Is Coming To The X-Men In 2016!

Bryan Singer, via his official Twitter page, has confirmed that the classic villain Apocalypse WILL be finally getting his big screen appearance in a "Days Of Future Past" sequel in 2016!!! May 27th, 2016 will see the popular super villain take on the superhero team, but nothing has been confirmed as to if the X-Men featured in the sequel will be the original cast with Patrick Stewart, Sir Ian McKellen and Hugh Jackman or the "First Class" cast, with James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender and Jennifer Lawerence. Some sources are saying that there could be an entirely new set of characters and cast members starring in the 2016 sequel/spin-off.
It's been rumoured recently that Hugh "Wolverine" Jackman may or may not be back for "X-Men: Apocalypse" as he may be in the middle of filming the confirmed "Wolverine 2" film with director James Mangold returning to the directors chair. It's also been rumoured that Jackman himself may just give up playing the angry metal clawed character all together as he knows that he's getting too old to play a immortal character.

UPDATE: The next 2016 sequel will feature the "First Class" cast as the main X-Men of the film. There's no news on if any of the original cast members will return for a bit also. There;s nothing that rules that out though so they could.

"X-Men: Days Of Future Past" Trailer Has Finally Arrived!

So there we have it, finally a teaser trailer for "X-Men: Days Of Future Past" has been released online. I've had little amounts of faith for this upcoming crossover film with both cast members from "X-Men" and "X-Men: First Class". After watching this trailer........fuck me it's amazing looking!!! Yeah it's only a trailer and we've all been fouled before with the trailer for films looking amazing and the full length film turning out to be crap but this.........I have full faith in now after seeing the first teaser trailer.
Director Bryan Singer has brought a hell of a lot of darkness into this film, well from what we see in the trailer, this sequel looks extremely darker and more serious than previous films. Dark is good! Dark seems to be the growing tone for comic book films now and it's working. I still do think that it's going a 50/50 film for both the original and reboot cast which is kind of annoying because fans really want to see a direct sequel to Matthew Vaughn's amazing 2011 "X-Men" reboot, "First Class".
Anyways, we don't know much about what's going to go down in this new crossover sequel but if you're familiar with the "Days Of Future Past" comic book series, then you'll know what happens before the movie even ends. Watch this trailer because it's awesome: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_9-9U6Rm46U

First Promo Shots For "X-Men: Days Of Future Past"

Finally some first promotional images from Bryan Singer's highly-anticipated but worrying "X-Men: First Class" and "X-Men: The Last Stand" sequel, "Days Of Future Past". The pics looks awesome. Loving the pics with Wolverine and young Magneto and Xavier together. Jennifer Lawerence looks stunning as usual as the young amazing Mystique.
I've seen the leaked low-res Comic Con teaser trailer and it's actually pretty promising to be perfectly honest. I mean it's still worrying considering Singer seems as though he's making more of a sequel to HIS "X-Men" franchise rather than the rebooted "X-Men: First Class" franchise started up by the amazing Matthew Vaughn.

X-Men! X-Men! X-Men News All Around!!!

So I've gathered together ALL news on Fox's newly planned "X-Men" universe. A new universe is being planned, villains are rumoured, mutants getting their chance on screen, new films, plans with old characters in new films.........EVERYTHING!!!!
First, let's start with the goings on with "Days Of Future Past" shall we. Popular "X-Men" villain Apocalypse is being rumoured to appear in a future "X-Men" film or spin-off because Fox have plans to expand the universe and they've planned new spin-offs and sequels. He's reportedly appearing in "DOFP" first to give fans a tease that he is out and about and will take on the "X-Men" at some point in the next few years. Apocalypse is being described as the Thanos of the "X-Men" universe.
Here's what an insider over at Fox had to say on the fan favourite villain,

"He's definitely a big part of Fox's whole plan for a big X-Men universe with spin-off movies. The Avengers really is the template here. Will he show up in Days Of Future Past? I won't say too much about that. You'll just have to wait and see."

Over at COMIC-CON, fans have been given a first look at Trask Industries and the "DOFP" Sentinels. The new Sentinels don't look much like the ones from the comics or even the one that was teased back in 2006's "X-Men: The Last Stand". They have a new black sleek futuristic look about them.......basically they look awesome!!! Here are some images below of them from this years COMIC-CON.
And now onto what's next after "DOFP". "The Wolverine" and "DOFP" producer Hutch Parker has mentioned that, even though there are no plans yet, he sees both "First Class" cast and the original cast go on to their own films again. This means that a potential "X-Men 4" is very possible and a proper "X-Men: First Class 2" is very possible also. He doesn't mention if the two casts will meet again, but they might if this joined sequel is good enough. This is good news for fans of both casts. I previously reported that Fox only wanted to go ahead with a direct sequel to "X-Men: The Last Stand" rather than "First Class 2", but this sheds some possible light on that matter.
Fox still have plans to go ahead with multiple "X-Men" projects anyway wither this film is good or not. Here's the link to his interview at the UK premier to "The Wolverine" on YouTube: http://youtu.be/6Nt4L8CV68Q
"X-Force" creator, Rob Liefeld, has confirmed that Fox are developing an "X-Force" will and have been since March of this year. That team is made up of Cable, Deadpool, Wolverine, Colossus, X-23, etc.
There's actually loads of them to pick from for the planned film that's in works with "KICK-ASS 2" director Jeff Wadlow. He's obviously making a good impression on himself with that sequel. I wouldn't mind a big screen adaption of that comic. Never read it, but it looks interesting enough to be made into a movie. Both Cable and Deadpool have been confirmed to be part of the team in the new film.
It's not been confirmed if Ryan Reynolds will be playing Deadpool though. He's still talking about the on, off, on again standalone "Deadpool" film. He might be playing him, he might not. Fans will just have to wait and see.
And now onto the potential "Magneto" standalone anthology/origins film starring Michael Fassbender and possibly Ian McKellen, depending on how good he is returning as old Magneto in "DOFP". Rob Liefeld also confirmed that the project is still active over at Fox via his Twitter account.
I would love to see an origins film, especially with Fassbender back as Magneto. It would be awesome to see him in a full length film on his own.
And that's it on all "X-Men" news from COMIC-CON for now..........stay tuned for more over this weekend.
