Next "Paranormal Activity" Isn't Out Until Next October Now!

It's been announced that a "Paranormal Activity 5" will not be released this October in it's yearly spot as usual, instead fans will have to wait another year to see the next move that Katie makes in the "PA" franchise. Not only will fans get an official "PA 5" on October 24th 2014, but they'll also get the Latino spin-off, "Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones" released on the January 3rd 2014.

New Poster & Trailer For "Paranormal Activity 4"

The new full length trailer for the latest installment in the "Paranormal Activity" franchise is pretty good, but I get the feeling I've seen it all before though. I love the films, but now it seems too different from the original three.
I know now they should change it around a bit, but now it revolves around Katie and her nephew moving into a house next door to the girl above's family and strange things start to happen in her house. Yeah it's good, it's fresh, but is it really. I don't know if it'll be as good as the first three films.
Here's the trailer, check it out for yourselves: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g4yp2t7Doac

"Paranormal Activity 4" Teaser Trailer & Banner Finally Released!

Finally a teaser trailer to "Paranormal Activity 4" has been released online. It's just a wee quick 13 second trailer with flashing images and footage, nothing special, but it's good to see that it's actually happening after all: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CH5wUQYjS8M&feature=player_embedded
No one knows who's in the film or when it will be set. The second film was set months before the events of the first film and featured Katie's sister and her family. Then the third film featured the sisters when they were kids. I'm sure Katie will return some way or another!

Paramount Announces "Paranormal Activity 4"

All I can say is "YAAAAAAAAAAAS!!!!", because I love the "Paranormal Activity" franchise and i hope it will go on for another few years, which it will because they're smart films. Paramount have said that they hope to get the fourth film out be later this year, sometime between August and October, like the previous films.
There's no news on who will be part of the cast or crew, but I'm assuming that Katie will probably be returning, because we still don't know what's happened to her since she stole her sisters baby boy at the end of the second film.

The First Teaser Trailer For "Paranormal Activity 3"

Just watched the official teaser trailer for "Paranormal Activity 3" and I have to say that it actually looks really good. It looks well better the the second one anyway.
This sequel, well really it's a prequel, takes place way back when the leading lady, Katie is about 10/11 years old (the 80's). I kind of hate the fact that this franchise is gonna be just prequels of Katie right now. Wish they would just hurry up and just make a new sequel. Start with a new family being terrorised or something and just have Katie pop uo everytime near the end of the film or something like that. I mean this new one does look good, but just leave it with the prequels now.
Obviously the film will probably start off with a prequel story and then jump to see where Katie is now, just like the plot of "Paranormal Activity 2". Starts with prequel and ends with sequel. Bet a fourth film is just right around the corner, probably start off with a whole new family and just end with Katie's story at the end of this one.
Anyway, here's the link to the trailer: http://youtu.be/90r3CnPI0AM

"Paranormal Activity 3" Promo Poster Online!

I haven't even saw "Paranormal 2" but I'm really loving the fact that Paramount have greenlighted a third film, so that tells me that the sequel must have been good enough.
No one knows what the third film will be about, wether it'll be like the second film, a prequel/sequel to the first one, or if it'll be a direct sequel to the first film. All we do know is that Oren Peli (director and writer of the first film and producer and writer of the second one) is returning to direct and write it. It's gonna be good.

2011 To Go Paranormal For The Third Time!

Original "Paranormal Activity" director, Oren Peli officially announced that Paramount Pictures have greenlit "Paranormal Activity 3" after the second film brought in a lot of money in the box-office.
The plot is yet unknown. No ones knows if it'll take place after the second film, as the second film works as both a prequel and a sequel.
The third film has been set for an October 2011 release.

Katie Featherston Is Back In "Paranormal Activity 2"

When the sequel to 2009's "Paranormal Activity" was announced, no one knew if Katie would return for it. Micah could'nt, as his character was killed off in the first film. It was then later announced that Katie was not planning to return. So I posted that news like months and months ago.
But now clips for the highly-anticipated sequel (which is released today) have been released with Katie in them. Now it's said that this sequel is indeed part-prequel also. Hence why she may be in it. It's also announced that Micah will appear briefly in the sequel. Can't wait to see it. Will probably go and see it sometime next week.

Paranormal Activity 2 Teaser Trailer!

The trailer for the next film is creepy as hell. Not as creepy as the first film, but it still looks good though. Stupidly, it was one of the trailers in "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse". Silly idea. News is spreading the the "Twilight" fans shat themselfs and that the trailer has been removed from the film. Here's the link to the trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F0inziW_V88

Katie Featherston Isn't Coming Back For "Paranormal Activity" Sequel?

MTV Movies Blog reported that in an interview with "Paranormal Activity" star, Katie Featherston, she revealed that she's had no word from the studio about returning to the role in the sequel. This is what she had to say,
"I don't know. I'm waiting to hear," the actress told MTV News recently. "If they had a way to put me in there in a way that would be reasonable and make sense - I don't know how they'd do that - I'd definitely be down for it. If I get that phone call, I will be there. I will be scared or happy or whatever they want me to be."
So again, only time will tell wether she comes back or not. The sequel is set for release this year, October 22nd 2010.

The "Paranormal Activity" Review!

I just finally saw "Paranormal Activity" the other day on dvd. I tried to go and see it in the cinema, but couldn't. Wish I did though. I thought the film was amazing from start to finish. It was so cool how it was made. It's like "The Blair Witch Project" but fucking 10 times better than it. The director, Oren Peli made this in his house in like a couple of weeks, without any special effects or nothing. It was all done with wires and basic trick photography. Amazing. It looked so real, hence why I shat myself when watching it. Sadly the director isn't coming back for the second film, titled, "Paranormal Activity II" and is scheduled to begin production in May of this year and it's to be release October of this year. The sequel is gonna be directed by Tod Williams. It was originally to directed by "SAW VI" director, Kevin Greutert, but he's going back to the "SAW" franchise to direct the 7th "SAW" film, which is also set for release this October. Back to my PA review.
The film is about a couple, Micah and Katie, who live in San Diego. Katie claims that there is a ghost that's haunted her since she was young and that's it's followed her to their new home. So Micah sets up his video camera in their bedroom to see if he catches anything. As the film goes on, we start to see some of the going's on from the ghost, which you only see black shadows of it. Micah starts to believe Katie.
I don't want to give away to much for those who haven't seen it yet and who want to see it. But you don't expect the film to end the way it ended. The dvd has the theatrical version with the original ending and a alternate verison with a completely different ending. The original verison of the ending is well better than the alternative one.
I would give this film a great big 10/10 for sure. I just hope that the sequel doesn't turn out to be like the way the Blair Witch sequel did. It was shit. Here's hoping.
