Three Big Actors Join "SIN CITY 2"

Christopher Meloni, Josh Brolin and Joseph Gordon-Levitt have all joined the growing cast of "Sin City 2". Brolin will take over the role of Dwight, who was played by Clive Owen in the first film back in 2005. Gordon-Levitt is set to play a new character called Johnny and finally Meloni has signed on to play a cop in the highly-anticipated sequel by Robert Rodriguez.

"SIN CITY 2" Is FInally Happening For Real This Time!

Yes, "Sin City 2" is filming this summer under the new working title, "Sin City: A Dame To Kill For". It will see the return of actors and actresses from the first 2005 film, Jessica Alba, Mickey Rourke, Michael Marsden and Rosario Dawson. There's no word yet if Clive Owen will come back, but I'm sure he will.
Rumors have surfaced saying that Mel Gibson and Michelle Williams have been offered roles in the upcoming sequel that's expected to get a 2013 release date. Gibson is also rumored to be playing a role in director Robert Rodriguez's "Machete" sequel, "Machete Kills", alongside Danny Trejo, who plays the lead role.

Rodriguez Says "MACHETE 2" & "Sin City 2" Are Just About Ready!

Robert Rodriguez gave fans an update on both "MACHETE 2" and the long-awaited "Sin City 2". He says that he's got the money sorted, all he has to do is finish the scripts, which are nearly finished.
"Sin City 2 is going good, we're just finishing the script for that, we already got the money. We have everything we need so we can just start shooting as soon as we get the pages. And it's the same thing for Machete 2. We've already got the budget, just waiting for the script. As soon as we're finished writing we get to start the shoot,".

While at Comic Con, Robert Rodriguez finally confirmed that he will be going ahead with the long-awaited sequel to the 2005 hit movie, "Sin City". He mentioned that he may actually start filming the sequel later this year. He also confirmed that the script is complete and was written by Frank Miller.
It's yet unknown which of the first films cast members will be returning, thought Jessica Alba and Mickey Rourkes characters from the first film are really meant to return as they both feature in the comic-book verison of the next sequel.
Finally the sequel is coming. I thought it would never ever happen, but now, here it is..........THANK FUCK!!!

Rodriguez To Make "Sin City 2" After "Spy Kids 4"?

Now before I start this post, i would just like to say one thing: I personally really don't think that the long-awaited sequel, "Sin City 2" is ever gonna happen. Robert Rodriguez just keeps putting it on and off. And he's been doing that for the last 5, nearly 6 years now. A mean c'mon man!
"Sin City 2 & 3" were meant to start filming back-to-back like a year after the first film was released and then it was put off for the "Grindhouse" films with Tarantino. Okay, that was fine because the script and the cast weren't quite ready yet. Rodriguez said that filming was to begin after "Grindhouse". Then after "Grindhouse", Rodriguez took like a year out from big filming making and was involved with a small George A. Romero documentary.
Then he returned to big film making with "Shorts". He then again said that "Sin City 2" is still happening, just not being filmed along with the third. He then was involved in the quite shitty, "Predators". He announced that "Sin City 2" was really really happening after that. Then he moved on with his "Grindhouse" spin-off, "Machete" and again, said he will deffo make "Sin City 2" after that. BULL SHIT! And with the sudden death of Brittany Murphy, Rodriguez was left questioned wether to recast her character from the first film, or if he should just write her out of the sequel.
But now he's going ahead with his "Spy Kids" sequel and he's just announced that he's possibly, but most deffo gonna finally finally make "Sin City 2" after he's finished with the "Spy Kids" sequel. Thank Fuck For That!
Rodriguez announced that himself and Frank Miller are at this moment, finally writting a script for the sequel, which will probably go through loads of drafts before the final draft. He did say that if the script isn't complete and finalised by the time "Spy Kids 4" is done, then he's gonna move onto his next unknown project, which is rumored to be either a "Predators" sequel (fucking hope not) or an adaption of comic-book series, "Madman".
Hence why I really don't think the sequel to 2005's "Sin City" is ever gonna happen............with Rodriguez anyway!
