Character Descriptions For New "S.H.I.E.L.D" TV Series!

Finally the character descriptions for the new live-action "S.H.I.E.L.D" TV show have been released online,

SKYE
This late-20s woman sounds like a dream: fun, smart, caring and confident – with an ability to get the upper hand by using her wit and charm.

AGENT GRANT WARD
Quite the physical specimen and “cool under fire,” he sometimes botches interpersonal relations. He’s a quiet one with a bit of a temper, but he’s the kind of guy that grows on you.

AGENT ALTHEA RICE
Also known as “The Calvary,” this hard-core soldier has crazy  skills when it comes to weapons and being a pilot. But her experiences have left her very quiet and a little damaged.

AGENT LEO FITZ and AGENT JEMMA SIMMONS
These two came through training together and still choose to spend most of their time in each other’s company. Their sibling-like relationship is reinforced by their shared nerd tendencies – she deals with biology and chemistry, he’s a whiz at the technical side of weaponry.

"Underworld" Director Signs On To Helm "Mummy" Reboot!

So after the news broke that Universal are going ahead with their reboot of "The Mummy" franchise, speculation began on who will be behind this new version of the classic monster series. "Star Trek" writers Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman signed on to produce the new film, which is being planned for a Summer 2014 release.
Orci and Kurtzman confirmed that this new film and possible trilogy will go in a completely different direction to the previous films, with the script being wrote by Jon Spaihts. They said that it'll be darker and more intense too.
Now "Underworld" director Len Wiseman has signed on to direct the upcoming reboot. He confirmed that there will be no comedy in this version. It's set to be a total horror film set in the modern day.
In a wee way, I actually am excited about this new version of the beloved franchise that ended badly with 2007's "Tomb Of The Dragon Emperor". So maybe it is time to start again. Only franchises that end bad should be rebooted I think.

Female "Expendables" Being Made With Gina Carano In Lead Role!

For a wee while now, there has been news circulating on plans for an all female "Expendables" being made over in Hollywood. There's no news on if it will have anything to do with Sly Stallones "Expendables" films or if it's just being called that because they're both similar.
Anyway, female action hero, Gina Carano has signed on to play one of the female leads in the all female action-packed film, which is rumoured to be out sometime late 2013/early-mid 2014.
Other actresses such as Zoe Saldana, Kate Beckinsale, Uma Thurman, Eva Mendes, Bridgette Neilson and Jessica Alba are all rumoured to be up for roles, but nothing's yet been confirmed.

Sherlock Holmes Playing Villain In Next Bond Film?

So this is an awesome rumour that I hope is true, but it looks like the TV version of Sherlock Holmes, Benedict Cumberbatch, is being considered for the role of the lead villain in the next James Bond film.
Express UK's Day & Night are reporting that he may actually indeed already have the role, but there's been no real confirmation on this news yet, but I'm assuming there will be soon enough.
Here's what Express UK said on Cumberbatch and the role of the villain in "BOND 24",

"Benedict is considered perfect Bond villain material," the site reports. "Work on the next film will begin next year and the plan is for Benedict to be on board. He grew up watching Bond, so it would be a childhood ambition fulfilled. Playing a Bond villain is one of the plum roles in film history and he'd jump at the chance."
