"Ghostbusters 3" Actually Filming Next Year After All?

I love "Ghostbusters" and would love a new film to get made, but I'm really getting sick and tired of keeping blogging about the on-off-on-off-on again highly-anticipated sequel. I keep getting news that it's happening, so I post about it. Then I get news that it ain't happening anytime soon. It's filming then it's not filming.
Now there's new news that it is in fact filming next Summer after all for a 2014 release date. Again, similar reports have said that it's filming next year and then they get debunked so take this news with a MASSIVE pinch of salt and don't get too excited!
It's been kind of confirmed by Dan Akroyd in recent reports that the new sequel will act as both a sequel and a reboot, but more verging on reboot after this report,

“We’ve got a brilliant new writer on it and we’ll be passing the torch on to a new generation. We’re working on it to make it just right to satisfy our fans. I’m confident we’ll be in production in the next year.”

"Ghostbusters 3" Gets "Men In Black 3" Writer!

A few weeks back Dan Akroyd confirmed that a new writer will be brought on board for the next "Ghostbusters" film. Etan Cohen, who wrote "Men In Black 3" has been brought on to re-write the script for the third "Ghostbusters" film, which is set to sequelize and reboot the much loved 80's franchise.
So "Ghostbusters 3" is back on track again, but the question is...............for how long this time round?

It's All Over For Bill "Fucking" Murray!

Yes, fellow Ghostbuster, Dan Akroyd confirmed that Mr Funny Man himself, Bill "Fucking" Murray will deffo not be participating in the planned sequel to the 80's classic "Ghostbusters". He was rumoured to be a ghost in the new film, but it now turns out that he ain't going to be in it at all.
So what now for "Ghostbusters 3" then?
Akroyd said that the studio still want to go ahead with the new film wither Bill Murray returned or not. We'll just have to wait and see.

"Ghostbusters 3" Secretly Filming Without Us Knowing?

Comic actors, Jonah Hill and Kristen Bell uploaded pictures of themself next to the Ghostbusters trusty vehicle, Ecto-1, onto their personall Twitter accounts the other day. These pictures have left loads of fans wondering if "Ghostbusters 3" is really happening or not somewhere.
Jonah Hill and Kristen Bell were both rumored to be starring in the possible sequel, but nothing had been confirmed.......maybe this is it or maybe the two of them are just teasing us and nothing is happening with the second sequel.

"Ghostbusters 3" Confirmed By Dan Aykroyod!

There's been a lot of rumors over the making of a third "Ghostbusters" film. Is it happening? Is it not? Then Dan Aykroyod has said it's happening, then he's said they're waiting on Bill Murray's response. But now, Aykroyod has spoken out and confirmed thathe has the script ready and that production should begin Sping next year................wait for it.............WITH OR WITHOUT BILL "FUCKING" MURRAY!!!!
Murray was expected to return as a ghost himself, so he got a draft of the script sent to him months ago and still hasn't read it, so Aykroyod has confirmed that himself and the studio plan to go ahead with or without him................most likely without him.
He also gave us some details on what the long-awaited third film is going to be about, “The promise of Ghostbusters 3 is that we get to hand the equipment and the franchise down to new blood."
“My character, Ray, is now blind in one eye and can’t drive the Cadillac. He’s got a bad knee and can’t pick up the pack.”
“Egon (Harold Ramis) is too large to get into the harness. We need young blood and that’s the promise. We’re gonna hand it to a new generation.”
He said that the next generation of Ghostbusters will consist of four guys and a girl. Those were near-enough the original rumored ideas anyway.........The girl anyway!
I'm really really excited about another "Ghostbusters" film, even if it doesn't have Bill Murray in it. It's interesting to see who the new blood will be and see if they can take over for deffo and get their own franchise, "Ghostbusters 4" and "Ghostbusters 5" possibly.

"Ghostbusters 3" Scheduled For 2013 Release?

Sony look as though they may deffo be going ahead with the long-long-long-long awaited "Ghostbusters 3". It's been said that they released some statement saying that they are hoping that the film will be out around 2013.
They also look as though they may actually go ahead with or without Bill Murray, who is yet to read the draft of "Ghostbusters 3" that both Ivan Reitman and Dan Akroyd posted to him. It's rumored that they want to make a sequel/reboot to appeal to the "now" generation.
They want to try and keep the original cast members and have them train the new team. And then for the new teams sequel, assuming that would be "Ghostbusters 4", the old team would walk away and get on with their lives, assuming again that they would retire then.......

Who I Think Should Be In "Ghostbusters 3"

Obviously, the return of the previous cast members, Dan Akroyd (Ray Stantz), Bill Murray (Pete Venkman), Ernie Hudson (Winston Zeddemore), Harold Ramis (Egon Spengler), Sigourney Weaver (Dana Barret), Rick Moranis (Louis Tully) and let's not forget about Slimmer!
And now onto the new team of Ghostbusters and other possibly cast members!
Ed Helms as the newer verison of Egon (the brains of the new team)
Seth Rogen as the Pete Venkman type character
Paul Rudd as the Ray Stantz type character
Anna Faris as a new female Ghostbuster
Idris Elba as the new Winston type character
Jenna Fischer as the new teams secretary
Either Kiren Culkin or Michael Cera as Oscar (Dana's child from "Ghostbusters II")
Jon Hamm as the Peck type character (the dick-head of the film who tries to stop the Ghostbusters)
Sharlto Copley as some demon leader

And

Kevin Smith as Mayor Lenny Jr (cameo role)

"Ghostbusters 3" Lies In The Hands Of Bill Murray!

For some reason, Sony aren't moving any step forward with "Ghostbusters 3" until Bill Murray reads the script and likes it. If he doesn't like it, then we get no third film. NOT FAIR! Basically the life of "Ghostbusters 3" lies in the hands of The Murraymiester!

Ghostbuster Rewritting "Ghostbusters 3" Script!

"Ghostbusters" actor, Dan Aykroyd has taken the reigns and is rewritting the script for the technically not yet greenlighted "Ghostbusters 3" film. This is what he says about it, "I gotta be careful here, I don't want to hurt someone's feelings. When I hurt someone's feelings, I really want to hurt them. Harold Ramis said, 'Oh, I've got these guys, they write on The Office, and they're really funny. They're going to write the next Ghostbusters. And they had just written this movie that he had directed. Year One. Well, I never went to see Year One, but people who did, including other Ghostbusters, said it was one of the worst things they had ever seen in their lives. So that dream just vaporized. That was gone. But it's the studio that really wants this thing. It's a franchise. It's a franchise, and they made a whole lot of money on Ghostbusters."
And this is what he says is gonna happen to his character (Ray Stantz) in the next film, "Now [in Ghostbusters 3] my character's eyesight is shot, I got a bad knee, a bad hip-I can't drive that caddy anymore or lift that Psychotron Accelerator anymore, it's too heavy. We need young legs, new minds-new Ghostbusters; so I'm in essence passing the torch to the new regime, and you know what? That's totally okay with me."
