"The Office" To End After 9th Season!

The amazingly funny and entertaining US version of "The Office" is finally coming to an end after 9 full seasons. The shows exec producer Greg Daniels confirmed this in an interview about the upcoming season, say that it would be the shows last.
This is what Daniels told THR about the upcoming season and ending it all off and tying up the loose ends with the characters and their wee story arcs and not wanting to drag the show on to the grave (quotes in blue, taken from THR),

“As we head into the homestretch, we have a lot of exciting things I’ve been wanting to do since season two,”

“The end should be pretty cool.”

“At some point you have a choice: to always tell the beginnings of stories and the middles or to allow a story to end, and I think endings can be very powerful and meaningful pieces of the story,” he said. “If we didn’t let it end this year, I don’t know if we would have been able to tell the endings for so many characters that I really want to know the endings for.”

“The real heart of the show are these arcs that allow these characters to have ongoing stories. It’s all going to be set up in the premiere,” Daniels said. “There’s so much to pay off from nine seasons, so many great characters, that my biggest concern is just tacking in these great ideas that the writing staff has on the walls and making sure we hit all of them or at least squeeze as many into the ending.”

He was finally asked about the return of Steve Carell's character Michael Scott ever coming back for an appearance in the final episode,

“We’ll see,” Daniels said of the idea to bring the actor back to the series that helped launch his career. “We have ideas for the ending, and obviously if he would participate, we would have a lot of good times. The idea will fly without him if he can’t make it. He is pretty busy.”

Well I can't sit back and say that I never saw this coming. I personally thought the creators would keep going with at least a 10th season, then end it, i mean round it off with 10 seasons. But it looks like it's happening right after this season instead. It's going to be quite sad to see it all end, because I loved this US version of "The Office" and I really truly don't want it to ever end..........SAD TIMES!!!

Funny man Ed Helms from "The Office: US" and "The Hangover" has been officially cast as the now Rusty Griswold in Warner Bros. upcoming reboot of the "National Lampoons Vacation" film franchise.
The films plot is said to be about Rusty taking his own family on a road trip to Wally World before it gets shut down for good.
Original Griswolds, Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo are set to make a short cameo appearance in the new film, which is under the working title of "New Vacation". It's yet unknown if it'll have the "National Lampoons" title at the start of it or not.

"Dwight Schrute: The Series" Coming In 2013?

NBC are supposedly currently working on a possible spin-off to their hit comedy series, "The Office", with one of it's favourite characters, Dwight Schrute, played by Rainn Wilson. The series is said to be based around Dwight and his beet farm.
The idea of this possible spin-off was from the minds of both Wilson and "The Office" exec-producer, Paul Lieberstein. Below is info from a source from the inside,
“Paul and Rainn have been joking for years about Dwight's life on the farm, his family and how ill-suited he is to run a B&B,"
"A while ago, it started to feel like a show to them. NBC agreed, it’s been further developed to include multiple generations, many cousins and neighbors. At its base it will be about a family farm struggling to survive and a family trying to stay together."

Who I Think Should Be In "Ghostbusters 3"

Obviously, the return of the previous cast members, Dan Akroyd (Ray Stantz), Bill Murray (Pete Venkman), Ernie Hudson (Winston Zeddemore), Harold Ramis (Egon Spengler), Sigourney Weaver (Dana Barret), Rick Moranis (Louis Tully) and let's not forget about Slimmer!
And now onto the new team of Ghostbusters and other possibly cast members!
Ed Helms as the newer verison of Egon (the brains of the new team)
Seth Rogen as the Pete Venkman type character
Paul Rudd as the Ray Stantz type character
Anna Faris as a new female Ghostbuster
Idris Elba as the new Winston type character
Jenna Fischer as the new teams secretary
Either Kiren Culkin or Michael Cera as Oscar (Dana's child from "Ghostbusters II")
Jon Hamm as the Peck type character (the dick-head of the film who tries to stop the Ghostbusters)
Sharlto Copley as some demon leader

And

Kevin Smith as Mayor Lenny Jr (cameo role)

Ray Romano, Catherine Tate & James Spader Joining "The Office US"

It's been confirmed that Ray Romano, Catherine Tate and James Spader are all set to appear in "The Office: Series 7" finale. No one knows why they'll be in the show's finale, but it's rumored that they are all up for the role of the new Manager, who'll be taking over from Steve Carell's Michael Scott.

Will Arnett & Ricky Gervais Confirmed For "The Office US" Series Finale!

NBC have confirmed that both Will Arnet and Ricky Gervais will be appearing in "The Office: Series 8" finale. No one knows why the two of them are cameoing in the series finale, but I'm sure it'll be a good reason.
It's rumored that both Gervais and Arnet are in talks to be replacing Steve Carell. Will Ferrel and Harvey Keitel are the only two stars who are known to deffo be in talks with the studio, to replace Carell after he leaves before the end of the season.

From "Anchorman" To "Office" Manager!

Will Ferral is set to play an inappropriate office boss, who is said to be worse than Steve Carell's Michael Scott. He's set to appear in the last three episodes before Carell leaves and then he'll appear for one more episode after Carell has left.
There is speculation that Ferral may be the next boss of Dunder Mifflin, then again, there is also spec that Ricky Gervais is too.

Michael Scott Meets David Brent!

The cameo was fucking brilliant! January 27th saw two greats come together and meet for the first time in character for "The Office US". Steve Carell and Ricky Gervais bumped into each other at the very beginning of the episode as Gervais's David Brent character came out of the lift and bumped into Carell's Michael Scott. It was only a mintue and ten seconds long, but it was fucking amazing.
The end line made people speculate that David Brent (Ricky Gervais) may be the new manager of Dunder Mifflin, once Michael Scott (Steve Carell) leaves before the end of the series. That would be fucking excellent if Brent was the new manager, but it's too good to be true. It wont happen!

Ricky Gervais Is Finally Appearing In "The Office US"

Finally this day is here! It's been years in the making and finally Steve Carrell's Michael Scott (The Office US) will meet Ricky Gervais's David Brent (The Office UK) in Scott's final fairwell in the US series on January 27th in America after seven seasons.
It's been reported that they will bump into each other when Michael leaves the building of his work, Dunder Mifflin. It's said to be a small cameo, but it's still very AWESOME to see to greats come together for an emotional ending.
The replacement for Michael Scott had not been announced or even teased yet, but we will find out in the remaining four episodes after he leaves.

Michael Scott Leaving His Office Before End Of Series?

There have been many rumors suggesting that Steve Carell will be leaving "The Office" before the end of the 7th season. Originally, he was meant to leave at the end, but reports are saying that he may very well be leaving at least four episodes before the end.
The four episodes remaining will show narrowing down and confirmation of the next person who will be the next boss of Dunder Mifflin, Scranton. So I take it that the studio are deffo gonna be carrying on the show without Carell, but will it be as funny, because look at what happened to "Scrubs" after J.D left..................it got cancelled!

"Office" Star Has BIG Choice To Make!

British actor and "The Office US" star, Idris Elba is set to take on the role of Heimdall in the upcoming "THOR".
He's been given a deal by Marvel to return to the universe and either play Luke Cage or even better, a rebooted version of Blade. Both very interesting roles to take on and even see happen, especially resurrecting the Blade franchise.
Personally, I think that he looks like both of them. He should just do the both characters in the big-screen. But I'm sure we'll find out which one he will take soon enough.

Mr White To Join "The Office"?

So seeing as Steve Carrell announced that he will be leaving "The Office" after it's 7th season. Looks like the creators are carrying the show on without him. They are planning to bring in a new character to play the new boss of Dunder Mifflin, with "Reservior Dogs" star Harvey Keitel taking on that role.
There has been confirmation by the producers that Keitel is a strong contender for the role, but he is one of many big names auditioning for the role of the new boss. Hopefully we'll find out very soon. But I have a very funny feeling that if they do carry the show in without Carrell, then it will probably get cancelled, just like "Scrubs".

Hitman's Next Target Is Dunder Mifflin!

Timothy Olyphant is set to take on the role of a villainess type boss in the new series of "The Office". He will appear in a total of 2 episodes. Not much, but it's still cool to see him in a comedy atmosphere. He could be in more, but that's all that's revealed right now.

Steve Carell Leaving "The Office" After Seventh Season?

"The Office" lead actor has announced that he may not continue on the show once his contract expires in 2011. So will the show return with a "Series 8" if Carell leaves? Maybe Jim or Dwight will become the new manager. Only time will tell.

Chris Evans Cast As The First Avenger!

OMG! I couldn't believe my eyes this morning when I saw that Chris "The Human Torch" Evans has been confirmed by Marvel, to play Captain America in "The First Avenger: Captain America".
I actually thought that it would go to that guy from The Office: US (John Krasinki), but I guess not. He would have been good though, but Evans is still gonna be good. So far the cast is Chris Evans as Captain America and the great Hugo Weaving as The Red Skull.
So a wonder what fans will make of this, seeing the fact that Evan's has already played a Marvel Comics character, Johnny Storm aka The Human Torch from The Fantastic Four films. But all I can say to him is good luck and lets hope the role goes down well for him.

"The First Avenger: Captain America" is scheduled for a July 2011 release.
