Disney CEO Bob Iger has revealed that "Star Wars - Episode VII" will commence filming in May with the three original heroes returning to their roles, Han Solo, Luke Skywalker and Leia, with a bunch of new lead roles joining them too for the next gen of the long running sci-fi franchise. Iger has said that the new sequel will be set about 30 years after the events of 1983's "Return Of The Jedi".
Nothing has been said yet on the cast members of the new generation of heroes, jedi's or sith lords but seeing as filming is set to begin in under three months, it can be assumed that casting is secretly been completed.
Also, while Igar was chatting about "Episode VII", this logo above was leaked on the net and it's rumoured to be the logo for director JJ Abrams's galactic sequel. Hopefully this is the films official logo because it's fucking awesome looking. Love what they did with the 7 acting as the A.

May The Force Be With WHO?
Eleventh Doctor, well technically Twelfth Doctor now, Matt Smith is so rumoured to be a part of JJ Abrams's new 2015 "Star Wars" movie. That's right geeks, Matt Smith, the present Doctor is reportedly in real talks with the "Star Wars" producers over a key role in the upcoming "Episode VII". There's no word on who he's going to be playing, all we know is that he's up for a role.
Smith would be amazing and I think he deserves loads of blockbuster roles when he leaves the "WHO" universe for good. I can see him playing a Jedi to be honest, but a part of me wants to see him playing an evil Sith Lord.
"Lock Stock And Two Smoking Barrels" star, Jason Fleming, is also reportedly in talks for a role in the new film also after posting a picture of the script on his Twitter page the other day. No one knows if it's a fake like what wee dick Justin Bieber did with the "Batman Vs Superman" script.
Again, Fleming is only really good at playing villains in movies so I can only see him playing a Sith Lord.......don't know which one though, if it's any from the known villains from the comics, books, etc.

Harrison Ford Will Return As Han Solo Only If "Indiana Jones 5" Gets Made?
News has broke that Harrison Ford will not return as legendary "Star Wars" character, Han Solo, in JJ Abrams's 7th "Star Wars" film unless an "Indiana Jones 5" gets made. Disney have reportedly agreed to what Ford wants and are planning to have a treatment for "Indy 5" done by late next year for a release date around 2016. The only bad thing is that Paramount still own the rights to the "Indiana Jones" franchise, so a deal would have to be made for Disney to make the film.
I would love an "Indy 5" personally but honestly, I'd rather see Ford return as Han Solo for the last time than see him running around as Indiana Jones one more time. The last Jones film was good but not great. Maybe this time neither Steven Spielberg or George Lucas will be involved so it could work big time.

Joe Cornish To Direct Third "STAR TREK" Film?
"Attack The Block" director Joe Cornish is the latest name to pop up as the new director for the next "Star Trek" film according to a well known source over at Paramount Studios. Cornish's name popped up before and no one took interest but now, everyone is hoping that this is true.
Personally I've never seen "Attack The Block" but I've heard that it was great and that he knew what he was doing when it came to sci-fi. I would love for JJ Abrams to return to direct "Trek 3" but he's busy with the new "Star Wars: Episode 7", so he can't but he's staying on to produce the next "Star Trek" film, so still good.

"STAR TREK 3" Filming Next Year With Abrams Back On Board?
Hey guys and gals, sorry but I've been away on holiday with my girlfriend hence why no news has been reported from the past week and a bit. Missed like loads of news, especially from ComicCon, but I'm going to report it all bit by bit so here we go with the first piece of news on "Star Trek 3" from Spock himself Zachary Quinto.
While in an interview with Buzzhub, Quinto let slip that the highly-anticipated sequel to this years MEGA successful "Star Trek Into Darkness", "should be filming, I suppose, next year. That's the plan, although nothing is confirmed yet."
He added that Paramount are planning to make this sequel a lot quicker this time round than the last one. He mentioned that "Star Trek" director JJ Abrams is also planning to direct the third film in the rebooted franchise. If this is true then either "Trek 3" will possibly not be filming next year and most likely sometime in 2015 or Disney are allowing Abrams to hold on "Star Wars - Episode VII", but that seems extremely unlikely for them to do so.

Abrams May Or May Not Direct "Trek 3"........Paramount Looking For New Director Anyway!
So because JJ Abrams is now directing Disney's "Star Wars - Episode VII", Paramount are beginning to make plans to sign on a new director for their planned 2016 "Star Trek Into Darkness" sequel. It's assumed that the film will definitely be released then seeing as 2016 is the 50th anniversary of the sci-fi franchise. The directors that Paramount are looking at are as followed: Joe "Attack Of The Block" Cornish, Joseph "Tron Legacy" Kosinski, Duncan "Source Code" Jones, Rian "Looper" Johnson and finally Matthew "X-Men: First Class" Vaughn.
JJ himself has said that he may be able to return and direct the third film in his rebooted franchise, because he has no plans to direct "Star Wars - Episode VIII" or "Star Wars - Episode IX"...........YET!!! So he could return, but Paramount are just playing it safe by hunting for his replacement just in case he does take on the full three film trilogy of the new "Star Wars" films.

"Star Trek 3" To Feature New Klingons As Main Villains?
If you've seen "Star Trek Into Darkness", then you'll see the new version of the classic villains, The Klingons. Writer/Producer, Damon Lindelof, was asked about plans for future "Star Trek" films. He mentioned that the new Klingons could make a appearance in the next film and possibly be the main villains too.
This would make sense because something happens in the latest film which could mean war with the Klingons in the next film. Here's what Lindelof said,
“I think that is a reasonable conclusion. You should always know where you’ve been, you should always know where you are, but most importantly, and I learned this from Lost, you should know where you’re going. You can never see enough Klingons, and I think in this film we’ve given the audience a little taste, but there’s also a promise that there’s a larger conflict on the horizon, and that would be fun to see.”
