May The Force Be With WHO?

Eleventh Doctor, well technically Twelfth Doctor now, Matt Smith is so rumoured to be a part of JJ Abrams's new 2015 "Star Wars" movie. That's right geeks, Matt Smith, the present Doctor is reportedly in real talks with the "Star Wars" producers over a key role in the upcoming "Episode VII". There's no word on who he's going to be playing, all we know is that he's up for a role.
Smith would be amazing and I think he deserves loads of blockbuster roles when he leaves the "WHO" universe for good. I can see him playing a Jedi to be honest, but a part of me wants to see him playing an evil Sith Lord.
"Lock Stock And Two Smoking Barrels" star, Jason Fleming, is also reportedly in talks for a role in the new film also after posting a picture of the script on his Twitter page the other day. No one knows if it's a fake like what wee dick Justin Bieber did with the "Batman Vs Superman" script.

Again, Fleming is only really good at playing villains in movies so I can only see him playing a Sith Lord.......don't know which one though, if it's any from the known villains from the comics, books, etc.

JJ Abrams Will Direct "Star Wars-Episode VII"

So "Star Trek" director JJ Abrams is the lucky son of a bitch who's going to be taking the helm of the new "Star Wars" film, possibly the new trilogy. I am literally was jumping and still am after hearing this. THIS IS FUCKING EPIC TO HEAR!!! He said that he wasn't interested in directing the upcoming 2015 sequel, but looks like he was a little liar. According to The Wrap, Steven Spielberg pushed and pushed producer Kathleen Kennedy to sign Abrams on, she listened to the old man and done the right thing.
So Abrams has not only got the rebooted "Star Trek" franchise on his CV, but now a possible "Star Wars" trilogy too.................LUCKY BASTARD!!!

UPDATE: Kathleen Kennedy and Disney have officially confirmed that JJ Abrams WILL indeed be directing "Star Wars-Episode VII" and he seems very pleased about given the chance to do so,

"To be a part of the next chapter of the Star Wars saga, to collaborate withKathleen Kennedy and this remarkable group of people, is an absolute honor. I may be even more grateful to George Lucas now than I was as a kid."

Disney Have Bought LucasFilm For Over $4 Billion!

This is probably the most craziest news ever!!!!! Disney now not only own Marvel, but now they have bought LucasFilm for an expensive $4.5 billion. They now own all rights to all past and future "Star Wars" films and anything to do with the franchise, including the planned live-action TV show. Robert A Iger, who is the Chairman And Cheif Exec Officer Of The Walt Disney Company has confirmed that Disney have made plans for a "Star Wars-Episode 7" and it's set to be released in 2015. The 7th film will now go up against the "Justice League" film and "The Avengers 2".
Iger confirmed that producer Kathleen Kennedy will stay on as the Producer for Episode 7 and future installments and George Lucas will only have the role as Creative Consultant. This is what Iger said about Kennedy and Lucas's roles, It's also been mentioned that Disney plan to release a new "Star Wars" film every two to three years after the 7th film in 2015. There's rumors that original Luke Skywalker, Mark Hamill, will be returning for some sort of "passing of the torch" type of scene.

"Ms. Kennedy will serve as executive producer on new Star Wars feature films, with George Lucas serving as creative consultant. Star Wars Episode 7 is targeted for release in 2015, with more feature films expected to continue the Star Wars saga and grow the franchise well into the future."

It's also been mentioned that Disney plan to release a new "Star Wars" film every two to three years after the 7th film in 2015. There's rumors that original Luke Skywalker, Mark Hamill, will be returning for some sort of "passing of the torch" type of scene. 
I for one am really super excited about the new films and I just hope they turn out well and Disney doesn't cock up. I also just hope they don't make CGI animated films and make them live-action instead. 

Also, what some people haven't realised is that Disney now own the rights to the "Indiana Jones" franchise too, so we could be seeing a fifth one of them after all and ASAP too. I just hope they don't reboot and start all over with someone like Zac Efron taking the lead. They now have that choice to do that. 

"Indiana Jones And The Long Retirement" Instead Of Another Film?

While talking about "The Bourne Legacy", producer Frank Marshall was asked about sequels to his 80's classic, "The Goonies", "E.T." and most of all.................an "Indiana Jones 5". This is what he said about the possibilities of an "Indy 5" happening anytime soon,

"I think, for me, [Crystal Skull is] the last hurrah. I know that, yes, we talk about it, but there’s no idea, there’s no MacGuffin."

So this is very bad news indeed for "Indy" fans, me being one of them. I liked the last film, "Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull". It was weird with the aliens, but it was the 50's, Roswell and alien stuff was happening there, so it made sense. I also liked that it left the franchise open for more films, but seeing as there's now no chance in hell really.................FUCK THE FOURTH FILM!!!! THE ENDING TO "THE LAST CRUSADE" WAS A PROPER ENDING TO THE FRANCHISE............NOW IT LOOKS STUPID!!!

He Just Keeps Babbling On.........

This is seriously wearing thin now. "Star Wars" producer, Rick McCallum is still babbling on about this yet to be seen planned "Star Wars" live-action TV show. He's said that even though the franchise's creator, George Lucas, has plans to retire soon and pass LucasFilm over to producer and close friend, Kathleen Kennedy, this TV show is going happen one day. For now he continues to talk about what we, the fans, are to expect to see in it.
According to McCallum now, the series is will be "Deadwood in space".............so basically "Firefly" with "Star Wars" characters. That's basically it in a nut shell. Here's all of the stuff he's saying about it, "Our biggest problem is that these stories are adult. I mean…these are like Deadwood in space. It so unlike anything you’ve ever associated with George before in relation to Star Wars. These aren’t for kids. I mean, we hope they’ll watch, but it’s not being targeted at 8-to-9 year old boys. The situation we have is that each episode – or if you put two hour long episodes together – is bigger than any film we’ve ever done. It’s on the Avatar level and we’ll only have about $5-6 million we can spend on each episode."
So what he's saying is "Star Wars: R-Rated" then?! If they really are going with the whole "Deadwood in space", then that means gritty themes with slightly brutal violence. Oh, and mega amounts of swearing. The swearing could be fun. Would love to just see Darth Vader say "Fuck Off!" to some we Jedi. 
Oh, and the title is now rumored to be changed from "Star Wars: Underworld" to "Star Wars: Detours". Please, please, please keep it to "Underworld" because "Detours" just sound stupid.

Rick McCullum Discusses Live-Action "Star Wars" TV Series!

More information has come out about the still very possible "Star Wars" live-action TV series. The franchise producer, Rick McCullum has spoken out about it and stated that about 50 scripts have been wrote but at this moment...........they ain't progressing. The series ain't progressing, yet McCullum announced that himself and George Lucas have came up with a potential title for the series. The show is said to be going under the working title of "Star Wars: Underworld".
McCullum is still not convinced that the series will happen, but they have just made up a new title for it, so they must be doing something about it. Just make it into a comic-book series or new cartoons. McCullum said the BIG problem is the costs for each episode of the series. They cost too much for just an episode.
Hopefully one day we'll get to see this live-action TV show of the epic sci-fi franchise.

Joe Johnston Talks "Jurassic Park 4" And Boba Fett Spin-Off!

"Captain America: The First Avenger" director, Joe Johnston has been all over the movie news sites right now because of two things, discussing "Jurassic Park IV" and the fact that he wants George Lucas to do a "Star Wars" spin-off film, featuring Boba Fett aka The Bounty Hunter in the title role......ROCK-ON!!!

First I'll start off with "Jurassic Park IV" news. Johnston has let slip some info on the long-awaited fourth "Jurassic Park" film. This is what he's says about his upcoming dinosaur sequel and his plans for a brand-new trilogy,
"We are in discussions about 'Jurassic Park 4.' The most important thing I can tell you is that it starts a new trilogy that will go off in a different direction — a completely different direction that is very exciting, and different from anything we’ve seen. It starts with the history of the first trilogy, but it spins it off in a completely different direction. That’s all I can tell you."
So does he plan for the new trilogy to be prequels, like the second "Star Wars" trilogy? I'm asking this because he says, "It starts with the history of the first trilogy,". That must mean either the fourth film will be a prequel or the whole second trilogy will be.

And now onto the "Star Wars" Bounty Hunter spin-off news! Johnston has mentioned that he wants "Star Wars" God, George Lucas, to make a BIG screen live-action spin-off film of "Star Wars, featuring Boba Fett aka The Bounty Hunter. Would be pretty AWESOME!!!
This is what he said, "I’m trying to get George [Lucas] to make a feature based on Boba Fett.” Give The Fett his own film Lucas. If he doesn't do it, Johnston will beg for the rights to do it himself!!!

Where's This "Star Wars" Live-Action TV Series?

Now I'm sure the so-called "Star Wars" live-action TV show was meant to be on TV like a way back in 2009 or something. So where is it then? The franchises producer, Rick McCallum spoke out about the status of the "kinda not happening" TV series.

Where they're shooting:

 “Oh, absolutely. This would be one of the primary places because of the talent."

When we might finally see the show on TV:

“The TV series is on hold, but that has nothing to do with the Czech Republic; it has to do with [the episodes being] so ambitious,” McCallum told Czech Position. “We have 50 hours of third-draft scripts, but the problem we have is there is a lot of digital animation; we don’t have the technology yet to be able to do them at a price that is safe for television. Since we would be financing them, it would be suicide for us to do this [now]. So we are going to wait three or four years,"

The plot of the show and it's possible characters:

McCallum did reveal some of the basic storyline in the finished scripts. “It takes place between episodes three and four, when Luke Skywalker was growing up as a teenager, but it has nothing to do with Luke,” he said, adding that there is no young Luke Skywalker in any of the episodes. Episode three, “Revenge of the Sith” covers the time up until Luke’s birth. Episode four — the original “Star Wars” released in 1977, later called “A New Hope”— finds Luke at the start of his involvement with the Rebel Alliance.

“Basically, it is like ‘The Godfather’; it’s the Empire slowly building up its power base around the galaxy, what happens in Coruscant, which is the major capital, and it’s [about] a group of underground bosses who live there and control drugs, prostitution,”

Mutt Williams Says "Indy 5" Isn't Far Away From Filming!

Shia LaBeouf, who played Mutt Williams aka Indy Jr in 2008's "Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull" mentioned, in an interview, that Harrison Ford and himself are set to begin training in the gym for "Indy 5".
This is what LaBeouf said, "I talked to [Harrison Ford]. He said he's staying in the gym, he said he's heard no word, but he does know that [George Lucas] is out there looking for a MacGuffin. He said he's staying in the gym, so it means [the movie is] not so far off. I mean, [George]'s got to let it sit. He's going through his ruminations, which is extensive."
The fifth film was and still is set to be released either next year or 2013, at the latest. 

Indiana Jones And The Bermuda Triangle?

George Lucas and Steven Speilberg have released some small details about the plot of the 5th Indy film, which is to begin filming next year for a possible 2012 release. Most of the film is centred around the Bermuda Triangle.
It's to be Indy's biggest and greatest adventure yet. And sadly, it's to be his last. Lucas and Speilberg have said that they plan to have this film be the conclusion to the whole franchise.
So that means no Mutt Williams spin-off series of films. Shia LaBeouf is planning to return to the role of Indy's son in the film.
