Butch Cassidy AKA Robert Redford Joins "Captain America: The Winter Soldier"
"Butch Cassidy And The Sundance Kid" star Robert Redford has officially joined the growing cast of "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" as the Head Of S.H.I.E.L.D!!! He, I assume, will be in charge of Sam Jackson's Nick Fury and Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow in the upcoming 2014 blockbuster sequel, seeing as it's set in modern day times.

"Revenge" Star Gets Female Lead In "Captain America 2"
It's finally been announced that the female lead in next years "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" has been cast. "Revenge" star Emily VanCamp has been cast as Sharon Carter in the 2014 highly-anticipated sequel. Sharon is Peggy Carters niece and seeing as the sequel is set in the present day, that kind of makes sense.

Cobie Smulders Possibly Appearing In "S.H.I.E.L.D" TV Show!
Now that the live action "S.H.I.E.L.D" TV show has began filming, some MCU S.H.I.E.L.D actors have been asked if they would like to cameo or have a main role in the Joss Whedon produced show. Sam Jackson has commented saying that he would cameo in it if asked, Clark Gregg is already appearing in the show, but no one knows how.
"Avengers Assemble" actress Cobie Smulders, who played sexy S.H.I.E.L.D Agent Maria Hill has said that she would, same as Jackson, be up for a part in the upcoming August 2013 series pilot. She said that if she starred in the show full time that there would be no problems with her other show "How I Met Your Mother",
"The commitments to [How I Met Your Mother] don't affect it. And I can't really say but there are definite talks about it."
Smulders has also spoke about her return to the MCU in next years "Captain America: The Winter Soldier". She says that she doesn't really know much about her role, as it's all under wraps,
"I've seen parts of it, but yeah I don't know much. This is Marvel! They don't let you know anything. It's very watermarked scripts, heavily watermarked. Yeah, they don't let you know like the day of, but they are very secretive and I think they are still figuring stuff out."

"Winter Soldier" To Star A Pilgrim?
It's been confirmed that Marvel Studios are looking at Scott Pilgrim's sister Anna Kendrick, to star in the lead female role in the 2014 sequel, "Captain America: The Winter Solider". The studio are also looking at Imogen Poots and Felicity Jones as well.
It's yet unknown how close any of the actresses are to getting the role or even what role they are going for, but I'm sure we'll find out soon enough.
UPDATE: Anna Kendrick is most likely to get the role after what co-producer Anthony Russo said about her,
“There
are a lot of good talent, but Anna Kendrick gently mixes features
tough, especially over time, she has proven her own ability. Can't say
anything, but we do not deny hope to have the opportunity to collaborate
with her in the near future”

"The Avengers 2" Gets It's Official Release Date!
The guys over at Disney confirmed that on May 1st, 2015................THE AVENGERS WILL AGAIN SAVE THE WORLD FROM EVIL!!!
It's rumored that Thanos and Loki will join forces and try to take down the team of superheroes in the highly-anticipated sequel. Thanos was introduced in one of the two post-credits scenes. Thanos is also rumored to be the lead villain in Marvel's "Guardians Of The Universe" live-action film.
He will possibly cross-over with the Guardians into the "Avengers" universe, even though the film is part of "Phase 2" of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), which means it's all one big universe to them.

Marvel/Disney Planning Live-Action "Avengers" TV Series!
Marvel/Disney and ABC are said to be planning a new live-action "Avengers" type TV show set in the same Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as the BIG-screen films. Though the project is still in extremely early development, there's certainly a buzz around Hollywood about the MCU TV show.
A close insider over at Deadline said this about what he heard about the planned project,
ABC are still also developing a new live-action "HULK" show, which is still rumored to be set outside the MCU and also "AKA Jessica Jones" series. Again, it's unknown whether "AKA Jessica Jones" will be set in or outside the MCU.......still cool though!
A close insider over at Deadline said this about what he heard about the planned project,
“I’ve
learned that Marvel’s TV division is in conversation with ABC and ABC
Studios about doing a drama series in the Avengers world. I hear that
the the connection to the Avengers franchise would be light as the
project is expected to be set in the universe and feature some of its
themes and feel but may not include any characters from Joss Whedon’s
blockbuster.”
ABC are still also developing a new live-action "HULK" show, which is still rumored to be set outside the MCU and also "AKA Jessica Jones" series. Again, it's unknown whether "AKA Jessica Jones" will be set in or outside the MCU.......still cool though!
