Paul Rudd Cast As Ant-Man And Michael Douglas Cast As Hank Pym!

"Anchorman" star and all out Hollywood funny man, Paul Rudd and well, just fucking Michael Douglas, have both been cast in Edgar Wright's 2015 entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, "Ant-Man". Rudd has been cast as the films leading superhero, but it's unknown which version of Ant-Man he'll play seeing as Douglas has been cast as an aged Hank Pym. It's assumed that Rudd will be playing Scott Lang's Ant-Man.
Douglas as mentioned that he's been dying for a role in a Marvel Comics film, or in fact, any sort of comic book film to be honest. The film's director and co-writter, Edgar Wright has said that we will see Douglas's Pym in action at the beginning of the film back in the 60's and then the story will fast forward to Scott Lang's story in the present day.

Paul Rudd And Rashida Jones Up For Lead Roles In "Ant-Man" Film?

So this is some very interesting casting but rumour has it that Paul Rudd and Rashida Jones are up for the lead roles of Ant-Man and The Wasp in Edgar Wright's upcoming 2014 comic book adaption of "Ant-Man".
It was rumoured that either Joseph Gordon Levitt or Paul Rudd were up for the role of Hank Pym aka Ant-Man. I for one would rather see Rudd play Ant-Man. Rudd seems like the stronger candidate for the role but Joseph Gordon Levitt is young and could carry on the planned franchise for years to come. Then again we could have another Robert Downey Jr situation on our hands and Edgar Wright does cast Rudd, who's at the age of 44.
Rashida Jones will be awesome as Janet Van Dyke aka The Wasp. She's smart, she's sexy and she just looks like she could pull the role of excellently.

New posters and trailers for Simon Pegg's, Nick Frost's and Edgar Wright's final film in their trilogy "The World's End" have been released. The trailers are hilarious and the posters look great. Simon Pegg actually looks like he could play The Doctor at some point.

"Ant-Man" Test Footage Leaked Online!

Now, the bad news is that I can't find a proper link to this leaked test footage anymore for the planned Edgar Wright directed "Ant-Man" live action film. The good news is that I've got these screen shots above from the footage that I've seen. There's not much from the pics, but you get the idea that it's amazing looking. If the film is done like this, then it could really work out well.

Is This A Teaser Poster For 2014's "ANT-MAN" Live-Action Film?

The poster above looks pretty genuine to me and to many online bloggers too, but no one knows if it is real or just fan-made. The logo is the logo that Marvel have designed for the highly-anticiapted live-action film, but anyone could photoshop it into this image and said it was real. It's very good if it is indeed fan-made.

The Final Film Is Finally Coming!

Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and director Edgar Wright have finally put down the foundations for the final film in the Wright/Pegg trilogy. That final film is known as "World's End". The three of them said that they plan to begin filming this September for s Spring 2013 release date.
Also, here's the films official synopsis: "20 years after attempting an epic pub crawl, five childhood friends reunite when one of them becomes hell bent on trying the drinking marathon again. They are convinced to stage an encore by mate Gary King, a 40-year old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their home town and once again attempts to reach the fabled pub, The World’s End. As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realize the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind’s. Reaching The World’s End is the least of their worries."

Marvel Studios Plan Two New Films For Summer 2014!

Other than the announcement for the release date for "The Amazing Spider-Man 2", coming on May 2nd 2014, Marvel Studios and Disney just announced that they have two more unknown films coming out in Summer 2014. No word on if it's part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) though.
The first one will be out just two weeks after Spidey's sequel, May 16th 2014 and the second film will be out in June 27th 2014. This means that both Marvel Studios will have 3 superhero films out within a space of two months......WOW, that's gonna be a lot of money. Both studios will be racking it in by the end of the Summer.
Obviously the BIG question is, "Which superheroes are getting a film out in May and June". So say it could be post-Avengers related, to possibly lead up to "The Avengers 2". Others say it could be either "Ant-Man", which director Edgar Wright is currently working on, "Doctor Strange" or even the long-awaited "Luke Cage" film.
I say it might be either the "Daredevil" reboot or the "Fantastic Four" reboot. But hopefully it'll be the "X-Men: First Class" sequel. We'll just have to wait and see, because I'm sure either Disney or Marvel will announce them soon enough.

The "Scott Pilgrim" International Poster!

I love the design of the first international poster for "Scott Pilgrim Vs The World". This is pretty much the first perfect poster for the upcoming film. There was one released like sometime last year, but it was shit. This one is cool!

The Second "Scott Pilgrim" Trailer!

The second trailer is absolutely packed with action. The film is amazing looking. Director and Comic writer, Kevin Smith (The Great), got a special viewing of the movie and this is what he had to say about it, "That movie is great. It’s spellbinding and nobody is going to understand what the fuck just hit them. I would be hard pressed to say,”he’s bringing a comic book to life!” but he is bringing a comic book to life." Here's the link to the trailer: (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pXqv8gtTrGo)

"Scott Pilgrim" Looks KICK-ASS!

When watching KICK-ASS, I came across the Scott Pilgrim trailer. Now, I've never heard of this Scott Pilgrim guy or the comic series before the film, but after watching the trailer, I want to buy the comics. The trailer is amazing. I'm so looking forward in seeing it when it comes out. I think the plot, from what you see in the trailer is about a young boy, Scott Pilgrim played by Superbad star, Michael Cera, who fancies a girl, who's played by Mary Elizabeth Winstead, who has 7 ex-boyfriends. WOW! I tell yah, that's a lot for a girl.
Anyway, it turns out that her ex-boyfriends are super-villians. So basically, to get rid of the ex's, Scott has to defeat them all in various different ways. Even tough you don't really get a lot from the trailer, it really seems like a film that I would deffo go and see.
Here's the link to the trailer, check it out and see what you think....
