Just a few weeks ago it was rumoured that 1989's Batman himself, Michael Keaton, was in talks to play the lead villain role in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe reboot of Spider-Man, titled Spider-Man: Homecoming. After that news got out, the rumour was put to sleep and nothing came out about it. Some said the negotiations fell through.......UNTIL NOW!!!
Today, word has got out that Mr Keaton, star of the critically acclaimed film, Birdman, is said to be in final talks to playing the main villain, wether it be The Vulture, as previously speculated OR......the MCU version of Norman Osborn, who will, as we all know, will at some point transform into The Green Goblin. The character of Vulture was on the cards as a main villain waaaaaaay back when Sam Raimi was in charge of the Spidey franchise. He wanted him as the lead villain for Spider-Man 4 and was to be played by the great John Malkovich.
The Vulture is an interesting character, as long as he's done right and not just a version of The Green Goblin, with wings. This, I am looking forward to.

SDCC 2015: New Action-Packed And EPIC Batman Vs Superman Trailer Is Officially Released!
So to kickstart myself blogging again on this blog, let's talk about fans being treated with a nearly 4 minute Batman Vs Superman - Dawn Of Justice trailer last weekend at the 2015 SDCC. It was action-packed with plenty of Batman going head to head with Superman in Snyder-esque fighting style. It's an absolutely fucking majestic trailer to watch. Superman is made out to be a sort of villain, Lex Luthor is trying to take over the show as per usual, Batman is having flashbacks and then we all of a sudden have Wonder Woman jumping in and joining in on the action.
I must admit that at first, I wasn't a massive fan of Gal Gadot's casting as the upcoming big screen DC Movie Universe Wonder Woman, but after seeing her in action in the latest trailer, fuck me, she's got it nailed by the looks of it.
Jesse Eisenberg looks like he'll be on top form and possibly steal the show with his newly revived version of classic Superman villain, Lex Luthor. He seems so secretly sinister as if he's waiting to release his true evil when the film officially opens next Summer. I can't wait to see his Luthor.
Ben Affleck is just perfect as the lastest Bruce Wayne/Batman. He just looks like he'll own this role, even more than Christian Bale ever did! And on the note of Bruce Wayne, we get awesome confirmation that Watchmen actor and close friend of director Zach Snyder, Jeffery Dean Morgan WILL indeed be playing Thomas Wayne, father of Bruce. It was speculated ages ago that he was playing the father of our Dark Knight as a painting of him was spotted on the set of the movie outside, what was and is now confirmed to have been Wayne Manor.
The only weird thing about this new trailer and well, persumebly the film, is that Superman has guards, that's right, guards. There are some sort of task force team shown throughout the trailer with the "S" symbol on their left shoulders. Does Superman need help in this film? He's Superman!!! My theory is that they're Superman fan boys who want to help the Man Of Steel in this movie, similar to the Batman wannabes that appeared in 2008's The Dark Knight.
After seeing this new trailer for Warner Bros, Batman Vs Superman - Dawn of Justice, I personally think it's 100% going to be THEE 2nd biggest movie event of 2016, just after Captain America III - Civil War. It's got everything you want, Zach Snyder type of over the top fighting and CGI, a good strong sounding story, great cast, dark themed, action-packed, just everything you expect from a film that's to lead up to the full on Justice League two-parter.
Anyways, enough talking, get this trailer watched and enjoy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wAcbTd8Nd70
PS:
One more piece of fantastic news is that Ben Affleck aka our new Batman was just confirmed the other day that he will DIRECT, CO-WRITE AND STAR in his very first Batman solo film, which is rumored to begin filming sometime next year or possibly the beginning of 2017 for a planned 2018 release date. This could end up being the first Batman film to receive an Oscar for Best Film because BatFleck is a great director. I honestly think this is a big challenge for him to take on but I have total faith in him. Can't wait to see this in 2018!!!

BatFleck Is Stunning Looking!
Here we have it ladies and gentlemen.......................Ben Affleck all good looking in his Batman suit for the yet untitled "Man Of Steel" sequel. His suit is stunning looking!!! Seeing as the first picture of BatFleck in his suit is black and white, we don't get a great look at what colour the suit will be but we can assume it'll be a similar suit to the suit that was used by Bruce Wayne in Frank Miller's "The Dark Knight Returns", which was a grey suit with a black bat logo.
Next to him, we get a glimpse of the new Batmobile, which looks like a mix between the old car and the newest tumblr from Christopher Nolan's "Batman" trilogy.

Mark Zuckerberg Cast As Lex Luthor And The Pope Cast As Alfred!
"Social Network" star Jesse Eisenberg has been cast as the new Lex Luthor in Zach Snyder's "Man Of Steel 2" aka "Batman Vs Superman", that's due for release in 2016. People are hating that he's been cast but I personally think Eisenberg will be amazing because he's smart and cocky and can pull an evil ass look just like Lex Luthor does. You would think he's way too young but you have to remember that he's in his early 30's but because he's got a young face, he's not right for the role. I think he'll be amazing!!!! I still wish they brought back Kevin Spacey but hey-ho.
The EPIC Jeremy Irons has been cast as Ben Affleck's Bruce Wayne's trusty servant, Alfred in the new comic book film. Again, another amazing actor has joined the cast of the highly anticipated "Man Of Steel 2". He's not Michael Caine but fuck me, he's a great actor.

"Man Of Steel" Sequel Pushed Back To May 2016!
Warner Bros. have officially announced that their "Batman Vs Superman" movie has been pushed back to May 6th 2016. This is happening due to the fact that Warner feel as though they want to give the films makers more time to write the script and make it perfect considering that amount of newly announced superheroes added to the roaster.
Originally, only it was a "Man Of Steel" sequel with the introduction to Ben Affleck's rebooted Bruce Wayne/Batman, but then it was announced that Gal Gadot had been cast as Wonder Woman and that her role in the film was quite a big part. It was then announced that there will possibly be appearances from other heroes such as The Flash, Aquaman and The Green Lantern, who is rumoured to be played by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. It's basically turned into the "Justice League" film that Warner were planning to make for about 2016/17. So really, they need the time to get the script perfect and balance all the heroes and villains out properly like the perfect balance in Joss Whedon's 2012 "Avengers Assemble".
It's been rumoured that Ben Affleck has also sustained a leg injury which would push production back about 10 weeks but nothing has been confirmed on that part by either himself or Warner.

"Fast & Furious" Actress Cast As Wonder Woman In "Batman Vs Superman"
That's right, Wonder Woman for the big screen "Batman Vs Superman" film has been finally cast........................and I just hate who Warner Bros and Zach Snyder have cast to be honest. I just don't think she looks the part. OH, the picture above is a fan-made image with a photoshopped Wonder Woman costume on her. Still, seeing this picture, I still don't think she's right for the role of the Amazon princess. She's a stick, she needs to be a bit more curvier to make the big screen version looks sexy and appealing to male geeks!!! I really can't think who I'd cast if it was up to me, but Gadot is a no in my books. Here's hoping I'll change my mind once I see her in action.

Warner Register Domain Names From 2015 "Batman Vs Superman" Movie!
Earlier this week Warner registered some potential names for their upcoming 2015 "Man Of Steel" sequel. It was rumoured that the Zach Snyder sequel was going to be called either "Batman Vs Superman" or just plain old awesome "World's Finest". Now, it seems as thought the film could end up having an extremely interesting and very original title.
Here are the titles that have been registered:
1. Man Of Steel: Battle The Knight
2. Man Of Steel: Beyond Darkness
3. Man Of Steel: Black Of Knight
4. Man Of Steel: Darkness Falls
5. Man Of Steel: Knight Falls
6. Man Of Steel: Shadow Of The Knight
7. Man Of Steel: The Blackest Hour
8. Man Of Steel: The Darkness Within
Now the titles above are great, but the title or titles that jump out at me are "Man Of Steel: Darkness Falls" and "Man Of Steel: Shadow Of The Knight", even though that just sounds like a title for a "Star Wars" film but fuck it, why not. The last title that could work would be "Man Of Steel: The Darkness Within". There's a lot of darkness, black and knight used in these titles. Whatever it's called, I'll watch it to be honest!!!

Daredevil Will Be The New Batman!
I never even thought of him when thinking of older actors to play Bruce Wayne/Batman in the upcoming sequel. I honestly thought that Warner would have gone with actors such as Ryan Gosling, Josh Brolin, Karl Urban, etc. They obviously just thought nah.......BEN AFFLECK!!!! Like I said with the casting of Capadli as The 12th Doctor, not the best casting, but not bad either........THIS GOOD BE GREAT!!!
I think Affleck is perfect because he's an amazing actor and director and I, like Kevin Smith, have always had faith in him and knew that some day he WILL rise again in greatness......obviously he did that with "Hollywood Land", "Argo" and "The Town". Now it's time to see him become a superhero again and prove that 2003's "Daredevil" was just a mistake (even though I loved it) and he CAN play a superhero awesomely after all.
I think that Affleck's Bruce Wayne will be like Robert Downey Jr's Tony Stark.......the guy who brings the team together by cameoing in other superhero films. It's assumed that Affleck will lead off to play Batman in his own standalone films and rejoin Superman and the rest of DC Comics top superheroes in the planned "Justice League" film sometime in 2017.

Josh Brolin And Many Others Up For Role As Next Batman!
So not only are fellow geeks going on about who the next Doctor will be, but we're also going on about who the next Batman will be. After this image above of "Men In Black 3" star Josh Brolin hit the net with his head photoshopped onto Batman's body, everyone went batshit crazy over it. The image above looks amazing. I don't think anyone even thought about Brolin when thinking about who could play the next Batman. He actually looks like Bruce Wayne from the cartoons, well the older ones from like the 90's.
There's a rumour that Zach Snyder and Warner are possibly searching for an older actor to play the role of their Batman in the 2015 "Man Of Steel" sequel. Brolin is 45 years old and is not bad for his age so he can still move about and fight, etc. They are also looking at Ryan Gosling, in case they go for a younger actor, Tyler Hoechlin from "Teen Wolf", Richard Armitage from "The Hobbit" films and even Luke Evans from "Fast & Furious 6".
An insider did sort if confirm that they are indeed looking for an older actor for the role of the next Dark Knight in "Man Of Steel 2", so that would mean that Brolin and Armitage have more of a chance than any of the others listed. Brolin and Gosling are speculated to be Warners top choice after their roles in this years "Gangster Squad".
Fans are expecting that The Dark Knight's story will be based around Frank Miller's "The Dark Knight Returns" comic book, seeing as a quote was read out at this years COMIC-CON.

COMIC-CON: "Justice League" Film Confirmed For A 2017 Release Date!
So while Zach Snyder was confirming a Batman/Superman film in 2015, Warner confirmed a Flash film too and now they've also fully confirmed that the "Justice League" WILL FINALLY BE A FILM IN 2017!!! That's right ladies and gentlemen.......a "Justice League" film IS coming out finally finally finally, but not in 2015 though. I think 2017 is a good time to release it. Gives Warner a lot of time to make it right. Plus, we've got Batman, Superman and The Flash to keep us going for a while.
It's assumed that Henry Cavill, the new guy playing Batman, the guy who's going to play The Flash are all returning for the "Justice League". It's also assumed that Ryan Reynold's will be returning too but nothing has been totally confirmed there yet.

COMIC-CON: "World's Finest" Film Coming Our Way In 2015 With Zach Snyder Helming The Project!
I can't believe this is happening.........finally we're getting a Batman/Superman film and it's coming out in 2015! Henry Cavill will be returning as the Man Of Steel himself. Amy Adams and the rest of the cast of this years "Man Of Steel" are all set to return too. Zach Snyder is helming the "Man Of Steel" sequel featuring the Dark Knight, who will be played by a new actor this time around. No casting announcements have been made on that role yet or any other.
Frank Miller's "The Dark Knight Returns" plot will be used to bring this "World's Finest" film together. Snyder is directing, Chris Nolan and his wife Emma are exec producers and David S Goyer is writing the script.
"Man Of Steel" actor Henry Lennox came out on stage in one of the halls in Comic-Con and quoted this line from "TDKR" and this is what got the fans going that something cool was about to happen and then before you knew it, a Batman/Superman logo appeared on the screen.
"I want you to remember Clark in all the years to come. In all your private moments. In all the years to come, my hand at your throat. I want you to remember, the one man who beat you."
I think the new logo is awesome! Loving the new Batman logo. It's very vintage and works out well in my opinion. I'm just looking forward to seeing who will be playing the Caped Crusader and also the newly rebooted costume.
This film is going to be just the best DC Comics film ever!!! Marvel and Joss Whedon have to seriously make sure that the next "Avengers" sequel is going up to scratch because they can't afford to loose out in fans. I've said it before and I'll say it again..........................2015 is going to be the greatest year in film ever!!!!

COMIC-CON: New "Batman" And "Justice League" Film Coming In 2015?
Again, rumours are surfacing on Warners plans for a "Justice League" film. A source says that the project has been in the works since the post-production and the release of this years Superman reboot "Man Of Steel". The source says that the studio plan to release the film sometime in 2015 alongside a newly planned Batman reboot, which is awesomely rumoured to be based around the cartoon tv show "Batman Beyond". Finally fans could see a big screen adaption of the much loved cartoon tv show.
I personally would love to see a "Justice League" film being made but I can't see it being released as soon as 2015. I think it would be rushed a bit so maybe release it in 2016 at least. In a way, I'd rather see another "Man Of Steel" film first before a full on "Justice League" film. Also, how will a "Batman Beyond" film work alongside a "Justice League" film? Is there going to be two different versions of Batman on the big screen? Like a present Batman for the "Justice League" film and a future one for the "Batman Beyond" film? Who knows........

My Top 10 Films Of 2012!
So yeah, a lot of greats films were released in 2012. There were laughs, cries and all out action. This is my post of my top 10 films that I saw during 2012 and that I thought were good enough for this list. It's took about a month to type this up but here it is.
Some people might read this and say "you haven't really seen any of the other good films" and yes, I know I've missed out on seeing "Total Recall", "Bourne Legacy", "Hunger Games", "Looper", "Snow White And The Huntsman", "Taken 2", "Jack Reacher", "Cabin In The Woods", "End Of Watch", etc. I will try and make an effort and see them this year on DVD or just on Sky Movies. Once I've seen the ones I missed, I'll add them into my top 10 and revise this post later in the year if they deserve to be in top 10, might even expand to top 20. I did though see most of the greats like, well obviously "Avengers Assemble", "The Amazing Spider-Man", "Skyfall" and "The Hobbit", "Prometheus", etc. I saw "Act Of Valor", "The Muppets", "Chronicle" and "Men In Black" and "The Expendables 2" also, but they weren't top 10 material, more like top 20, still good though.
So here is my list of my favorite films of 2012. I'll right a wee thing about them, but not a BIG overall review or anything like that. I'll say something short and sweet. Let's begin:
10. American Pie: Reunion
Jim, Stiffler and the whole gang are back after nearly 10 years of being off-screen. After 4 very unsuccessful spin-offs, the original creators thought it was time to bring the original kids back to show the new generation of Pie lovers how to party. The only thing that's stopping them is old age. Can they really compete with the teens of today? Stiffler still thinks he can. Jim and Michelle are having trouble with their marriage and Ox and Heather realize that they still love each other but can't show their feelings because they both have new partners.
The film in a whole was fucking brilliant and it's great to see how the gang are doing now, but I think the creators were trying just a wee bit too had to make it as funny as it was back in the first film over 10 years ago. How far can Stiffler really go in a movie. Never the less, it was a commercial and critical success and the cast and crew are planning to return for a fifth slice. I will say one thing, this one definitely beats "American Pie: The Wedding" anyway.
9. TED
Well, what can I say about good old Ted......................"FUCK ME!!!!!" That was some god damn film to sit though. It had the type of humor that I think fits perfectly with the youth of today. I really think "American Reunion" could have done some edgy humor like this, but then again, I am talking about the creator of "Family Guy" and "American Dad" here people. Still could have helped though. I never gave a shit about this film until I saw it for the first time!!! Never done posts on it's posters, trailers, nothing. I was wrong to do that!!!
Fucking Marky Mark Wahlberg is a 30 something year old man with a CGI walking/talking bear, voiced by Seth McFarlane, who's know for voicing Stan Smith (American Dad) and Peter Griffin (Family Guy) and Wahlberg's long tern girlfriend, Mila Kunis. Kunis wants to settle down with Wahlberg, but Ted is holding them back because he still stays with them. Ted realizes that he can't stay with Marky Mark forever, so he tries to make a life of his own by getting a job, a flat and a trailor-park trash girlfriend.
The film is fucking hilarious!!! It's funny, it's sad, the humor is edgy as fuck. It's got dick jokes, it's got fart jokes. Stonner moments and bonner moments. If you love "Family Guy", then you'll love this!!!
8. The Dark Knight Rises
Now, before I start, I was seriously thinking of not placing this film in my top 10, because I had and still have serious mixed feelings on this final chapter in Nolan's "Batman" franchise. It is Batman, and I'll also have a place in my heart for this franchise and the ending was fucking EPIC, hence why it's for sure in my top 10!!!
Chris Nolan and the gang return with new faces to give fans the ultimate ending to his overwhelming take on the favorite comic-book character, Batman. As a whole, the film was good, but not as great as what it could've been. In my opinion, "The Dark Knight" was well better. Tom Hardy's Bane was brutal and brilliant, but I just felt as though he was predictable, whereas Heath Ledger's Joker was off the wall crazy and no one knew what was coming next from the character. Anne Hathway's Selina Kyle/Catwoman was sexy and amazing. I literally fell in love with her after just seconds of seeing her for the first time on screen. The story itself is good, but some parts were a bit iffy though. We saw Batman rise and fall and rise and fall and rise again, good and bad, because the falling got a bit repetitive, but still, it's fucking Batman, so of course I'm going to enjoy it at other times though.
The film was shocking, the beginning......great, but I think it got a bit boring in the middle and I just felt as though everything was lost and I felt as though it dragged out. Then the ending came with the final fight and the whole thing just fell into place and the last moments were both breathe taking and exciting and sad and happy and............JUST FUCKING AWESOME!!! Watch this film if you haven't already seen it!!!
7. DREDD
Karl Urban IS Judge Dredd!!! How awesome was this film?! 2012 was truly a year for action filled films and the film that stood out the most, even more than "The Expendables 2", was the new "DREDD" reboot. It was an amazing 3D experience that should have made more money in the box office. The action was non fucking stop all through the film as Dredd and his psychic partner Judge Anderson have to go through floor to floor taking down bad guys in crazier and crazier ways has they climb higher to the top to take down the top dog......Mama, played by Lena Headey. It did though get a tiny bit repetitive, but fuck it, it was awesome!!! The 3D and the slow-mo sequences were just bloody stunning to look at and watch, especially the 3D. Like most 3D films lately, it's more projected imagery 3D rather than things flying at you or anything exciting like that, nothing like "Avatar" anyway. "The Amazing Spider-Man" and "DREDD" are the only two films that I can think of right now that have amazing 3D sequences that are the REAL 3D!!!
It was praised by critics but done so poorly in the money making section. My answer to why it never made much was that it never got much promotion till near the time of it's release. It was the production companies fault that it never made much. Hopefully they will make some more of the money back during the DVD and Blu-Ray releases.
6. Prometheus
"Prometheus" was fantastic!!! It wasn't as amazing as the first or second "Alien" films, but it was well better than the third and fourth ones anyway. Shit, forgot, this ain't an "Alien" film.....WHOOPS!!! It bloody is an "Alien" film. It's work perfectly as a stand-alone prequel or if you want to say "running up to" to the "Alien" films. Visually, it's as stunning as you'll probably get an "Alien" film to look these days. Great mix between CGI and practical effects, not like the shitty 2011 "Thing" prequel.
Ridley Scott returned to the type of genre he knows and does best.......SCI-FI and with an amazing cast. They were all on the ball. Michael Fassbender was the ever so friendly, but strange cyborg. Noomi Repace was the very sexy and smart new version of Ripley. Idris Elba was the captain and he was awesome! And Charlize Theron was the sexy and bossy well boss. The crew wanted to find new life, but it wasn't the kind of life they wanted really.
The story was great, a bit stiff at times, but we got there in the end and WOW, what an epic ending it was for fans of the long-running "Alien" franchise, even though this isn't a prequel, but the ending says it is though. I loved the music, literally the whole soundtrack was cool, fast moving, creepy and just great to listen to in certain scenes at certain times.
I don't want to talk about it anymore because I don't want to give much away........JUST WATCH IT IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IT!!!
5. 21 Jump Street
"21 Jump Street"........Now there's an interesting case right there. When I first saw the very first teaser trailer for this big-screen sequel/reboot to the old Johnny Depp series, I was like "this looks shite". The trailer just tried to hard to look funny. I laugh at anything, but I just didn't gel with this films first teaser. After a few more trailers, I kind of started to enjoy them, then I watched the 4 minute preview and I was pissing myself with laughter. I literally could not stop watching Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill trying so hard to be good cops and just cocking things up. It was hilarious to watch. And again, when I went to see the film in the cinema with mt friends, we all just couldn't stop laughing from start to finish. Thankfully the film stepped away from the more serious feel of the 80's TV show and was made more of a piss take, like Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson's "Starsky & Hutch" film.
In a whole, the film had a great story. Channing Tatum can actually act in this film. Some action stars can't really go from action to comedy, but I think because this is the best of both worlds, he can do that and do it extremely well in my opinion. He's actually much better in this type of genre than anything serious and dramatic. He should seriously just stick with action and comedy. Is was also seriously surprised with Jonah Hill too. That guy is actually good in the action sequences. I know the film is a comedy action film, but it is more comedy, but even in the serious action scenes, he was really good. He also lost so much weight which also helped him look like the actioner type guy.
Tatum and Hill play two cops who think they are amazing at what they do, Tatum more in that situation. To save the Captains ass on the humiliation, he sends them away to 21 Jump Street to work in an undercover division to catch out drug dealers in high school. This is when all the funny stuff happens, especially the night before they start school again. Just seeing them trying to think the would fit in and trying on different clothes was just hilarious to watch. What's funny about the school scenes is that popular Channing Tatum is stuck with the nerds and turns out he ain't as cool as he once thought he was and even when he was all nerdy, he did manage to stay cool by shouting out "FUCK YOU SCIENCE" during the scene where he and Hill were as high as kites on drugs. The drug scene between Hill and Tatum was the most EPIC scenes in comedy history!!!
The film is just packed with action, comedy, romance, awkwardness, etc. It's definitely a film to watch before you die, even if you're not a massive fan of Channing Tatum or Jonah Hill. OH, and there's also two surprise and amazing cameos at the end..........never going to believe who they are!!!
4. The Hobbit
"The Hobbit", for people who know me, was not really a film I was planning to see anytime soon. I thought it looked really, well shite actually. Now I was never a MASSIVE "Lord Of The Rings" fan, but I enjoyed them enough to watch them whereas when I saw the trailers for this, I was like "Not for me thanks"...........I WAS SOOOOO FUCKING WRONG PEOPLE!!! This film ruled!!! It was visually amazing, as per usual when it comes to a Peter Jackson film. The landscape shots of New Zeland got a bit too much after a while, but in a whole it was stunning. Gollum is becoming more realistic as we go on. Andy Serkis was awesome once again as the creepy little creature. The chemistry between him and Martin Freeman's Bilbo Baggins was superb, same as the scenes between Bilbo and Gandalf, once again played by the great Sir Ian McKellen. The dwarfs did become a bit too much with all of their silliness, because at times I felt as though I was watching a Disney film and yes, it was meant to be more light-hearted, but it was a tad too light-hearted, but none the less, a great film to watch for fans and new comer fans to the much-loved franchise. We can already tell that the sequels will be just great and hopefully a lot darker, like the same as the way the "Harry Potter" films went. Like I always say, I don't want to tell you guys anything about the plot, just about the way the characters are, but the plot is pretty simple, the first films, without the ring, or is the ring in it, woops, said too much. JUST WATCH IT PEOPLE!!!
3. The Amazing Spider-Man
When this reboot was announced a few years back, I was like "give it sometime to rest first before starting all over again" and then I heard who was directing it and who was going to be in it and what the film was going to be about and I thought........FUCK YEAH!!! The film was really amazing.
Andrew Garfield takes over the role of Peter Parker aka Spider-Man in the new 2012 reboot, with the very amazing and sexy Emma Stone playing Gwen Stacy. Rhys Ifans plays the villainess Dr Curt Connors aka The Lizard. He was good, but I think he could have been better. The CGI for The Lizard was fantastic, but Rhys Ifans playing Connors was a bit off I think. I think Dylan Baker's Connors was better. I didn't really feel sorry for Ifans's character until the second time around, but even then, Baker was better. He should have became The Lizard.
Visually it was the best of all the Spider-Man films. There was a lot more practical effects like they had a stunt actor actually web-sling through the city via some green screen wire and a harnest. Even the CGI was better this time around. It was just all visually stunning. The 3D was real and wasn't like the usual projected imagery, which was good to see for once, well this and "DREDD".
Marc Webb really done a great job with bringing new life into the "Spider-Man" film franchise. The only downside is that this film promised us "the untold story", which wasn't shown really. And there was a few vital parts in the trailer taken out of the final cut of the film. The good thing is that "the untold story" is said to get expanded through the rebooted trilogy instead on just one film. So we'll find out about the death of his parents, who really shot Uncle Ben and who Peter Parker really is in the next two films!!!
2. Avengers Assemble
"Avengers Assemble" was fucking fantastic!!! One, if not the greatest comic book film of all time. Future comic book films will be totally different now because of this film. A lot of them will surely be influenced by this highly-anticipated adaption. Comic book films once to influence from Chris Nolan's "Dark Knight" franchise, now they should take it from this and Joss Whedon.
"Avengers Assemble" was totally perfect. The cast were fantastic because they all just gelled together and everyone got right amount of time on-screen. Joss Whedon really should be getting an Oscar for this film and taking control of the cast and crew. I watched all the behind the scenes footage and fucking hell, he was busy as fuck!!! If you haven't yet seen the new film, seriously watch it. I don't want to give too much away about the films plot but basically Loki, Thor's brother, travels to Earth to create mayhem and destruction. Nick Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D call on Earth's Mightiest Heroes to come together and take a stand against this evil. It's tough and hilarious to watch them coming together, but it's amazing and every comic book fan would love this........WATCH IT!!! The music, the visuals, the acting........WATCH IT!!!
1. SKYFALL
And my number 1 film of 2012 was "SKYFALL". The new James Bond saw an epic return for Daniel Craig's 007 and was a fantastic instalment in the long-running British spy franchise, which last year saw it's 50th anniversary and what a film to celebrate it. Oscar winning director Sam Mendes took the rains of the latest Bond film, he had been signed on for many years, but MGM went bankrupt and the film was placed on hold for quite a while which was worrying for the franchise. Good old Sam stuck by the franchise and the film was revived and it got made and shown to the world.
The film to a story of hurt, revenge, betrayal and just Bond being Bond. It was action-packed with a hell of a story and had fantastic James Bond references to the older films. You knew that the cast and crew were trying hard on making this the best Bond film ever!!! Dame Judi Dench gave a great performance as M, Daniel Craig was just as great as ever. He really acted in this film. Craig's Bond was pushed to the limit this time around. Blood, sweat and honor for James Bond in this film. Let's not forget about the lead villain, Javier Bardem......fuck me what a character he was in the film. He was extremely creepy and you felt as though Bardem took some inspiration from Heath Ledger's Joker in 2008's "The Dark Knight".
The music, scores by Thomas Newman and the official theme were brilliant. Adele should get a chance to come back and sing some more. She could be the modern day Shirley Bassey of the Bond songs. The story was different. It didn't feel like the usual Bond film, but neither did "Casino Royale" and that turned out amazing.
Sam Mendes and the crew have definitely redefined the James Bond franchise and kind of in a wee way rebooted it again to fit in with the 50th. Good things will definitely come out of this and for further instalments in the franchise. "SKYFALL" was and is and highest grossing James Bond film ever and has just reached over a billion pounds in the box-office. If this is Craig's last film, what a film to go out with. He started with a hit, middle was okay, but the last film was spectacular and ever better than his first, "Casino Royale" back in 2006.

Next "Batman" Reboot Not Happening Until 2017?
The Batman will return in his first solo film since last years "The Dark Knight Rises" in or around 2017 according to insiders over at Warner Bros. The next official appearance of Batman will be in the 2015 live action adaption of the "Justice League", but it's still unknown if that will be the official rebooted Batman or if there will be two versions. One in the "Justice League" and the other in the 2017ish solo film.

The "Justice League" Line-Up Revealed?
A rumored line-up for the 2015 "Justice League" live-action film has been leaked online. It reveals that Henry Cavill's Superman and Ryan Reynolds's Green Lantern could actually appear in the upcoming planned DC Cinematic Universe after all.
It's been rumored for ages that there would be two split universes. One was the planned reboot "Batman" franchise and the upcoming "Man Of Steel" franchise and the other was going to just be based on the "Justice League". Now it seems that it could be all one universe.
Here's the line-up, courtesy of ComingSoon.net:
• Superman is essentially the same character from Man of Steel, and Zack Snyder is consulting regarding the writing of the character.
• Batman: The strategist of the group. Batman doesn't really want to be involved with these super powered beings he considers too powerful. Easily the most complex written.
• Wonder Woman: She has only been in man's world a few short months. The Wonder Woman script Michael Goldenberg is developing will be set before the Justice League movie.
• Green Lantern: Will be Ryan Reynold's character from the Green Lantern movie, but will be freshly written with a more serious tone.
• Flash: The most popular hero in civilian eyes who loves media attention, but when called upon is very serious.
• Martian Manhunter: Alien who has lived on Earth in secret for over a hundred years who has knowledge of Darkseid and his reign.
• Aquaman: Will be the King of Atlantis who has a key role in the film.
• There will also be a heavy military presence in the film which in future rewrites could include characters featured in Man of Steel or even Amanda Waller (Angela Bassett) of which neither are included in the first draft.
• Alfred Pennyworth is in the film in a minor appearance.
• Lois Lane is also in the film in a cameo.
• Darkseid's Elite will be featured who go up against the Justice League early on in the film.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt Playing The Next Batman After All And Snyder And Cavill Involved In "Justice League" Film Too?
Reports online are strongly suggesting that Joseph Gordon-Levitt is in meetings over at Warner to star as the new Batman in their "Justice League" BIG-screen movie. It's been rumored for ages that Levitt could be the next Batman in either a direct sequel to Chris Nolan's film series or crossover and enter into the "Justice League" film universe when it begins in 2015.
Online sites were suggesting that Warner were going to clean the slate and cast a brand new Batman for both the "Justice" universe and the solo Batman reboot series, but now that may not be the case after all. John Blake could be Batman rather than go back and re-create Bruce Wayne again.
Fans, including me, didn't like the idea of two Batmen and the same going for Superman, two different Supermen on-screen. Maybe Warner have listened to fans and thought, "Fuck it, let's bring back Levitt and keep him as Batman from now on."...........well hopefully, because this is just a MASSIVE rumor.
Zach Snyder did though let slip that he and his Superman, Henry Cavill, could be apart of the planned "Justice" film after all, rather than the split universe. I would rather see Cavill come back rather than two different actors playing the same hero on-screen.............POINTLESS!!!
When Snyder was asked about his involvement in the "Justice" film, he said,

"I can’t really say anything to that, because that’s a big spoiler. I will say, yeah, they trust me to keep them on course."
He also added,
"I don’t know how ‘Justice League’ is going to be handled. Honestly, I don’t, but ‘The Man of Steel’ exists, and Superman is in it. I don’t know how you’d move forward without acknowledging that."
UPDATE: Hollywood.com have
reported that Gordon-Levitt's reps have denied the rumor of him
appearing in the "Justice League" film as John Blake. Reps have denied
things before and it's turned out true though.

Holden McNeil To Direct "Justice League" Film?
So it looks like Warner are racing ahead to get a BIG-screen live-action "Justice League" film up and running again in time for it to go head-2-head with Marvel's "Avengers" sequel in around 2015ish. The minute Marvel announced that Joss Whedon was returning to direct "The Avengers 2", DC and Warner rushed in and announced that the long-awaited "Justice League" film was looking for a key director to get the superhero on the BIG-screens. The said that they are looking at Ben Affleck to take the rains of the big budget film.
Apparently now Affleck has gave Warner and big fat "NO!!!" to the project. Variety magazine confirmed this yesterday after the word broke out from Warner Bros. that this was in the planning. Affleck obviously just feels that he's not up for the challenge just yet, maybe some day though.
See what happens when a studio opens their big mouths and says something out loud without thinking about it first. Probably if they spoke to Affleck in a meeting instead of announcing it and him hearing it from someone else, then maybe he would have said "maybe"................silly Warner!
Warner haven't thought any of this through though. Yes they had the "Justice League" filming in development since like 2004/5, but nothing has ever really picked up. Marvel on the other hand have released film after film after film, leading up to the main event that was "Avengers Assemble" or "Marvel's The Avengers".
We had background stories from each character, they crossed-over to let each other be known to each other and get ready for the assemble. Warner and DC are just planning to dive right into a "Justice League" film with a new Batman, probably a new Green Lantern, a Wonder Woman, a Flash and well let's hope.......Henry Cavill and Zach Snyder's Superman, rather than some other guy who we know nothing about.
DC and Warner are planning to release all stand-alone character films after the "Justice League" film, which personally I think is kind of a big mistake! Let them be known to the fans first before throwing them into the deep end with new actors, Superman, Batman and Green Lantern and new looks. marvel worked hard and achieved so much, whereas DC could fail, but only time will tell.

My "Dark Knight Rises" Review!
It's been like two weeks or so since I saw Christopher Nolan's final chapter in the EPIC "Dark Knight" trilogy, which I know consider it as "THE TRILOGY". I saw it on the first day it was released, as I usually do with all BIG films.
Obviously the build up to it was amazing. It looked so EPIC, but a part of me was still asking, "Can Nolan pull this one off after the last film?" and now that I've seen it, I can say that it was a brilliant film, with so much action, breath-taking fight scenes, sad moments, great acting and a well deserved ending to end the trilogy off in an extremely satisfying way, but it wasn't "The Dark Knight". Bane was a good villain to end the three films, but he wasn't thee villain. Heath Ledger's Joker was thee villain of the reboot franchise. Bane was sadistic as fuck, well more than the Joker, but the Joker had something that Bane never, good lines, the shock factor and the scare factor. The Joker was messed up. Bane took down Batman physically whereas the Joker took batman down mentally. You didn't know what was coming next, whereas Bane, you began to know what was coming next, and that is something you don't want. His voice was the best part, like I said, he never had great lines, some were good, but not as cringe worthy as Jokers, but just that voice.......FUCK ME!!!
Story wise, it starts off with "hermit" Bruce Wayne hidden away in his mansion wanting nothing to do with the world. Then he realises that he must rise up and become Batman again because Bane's rolled into town wanting to cause chaos. Batman rises and meets Bane, Batman falls. Batman goes away for a while and learns how to rise again, but this time........stronger! He does and returns to plan his next move on how to take Bane on in round 2. Batman falls slightly again. Batman thinks "FUCK YOU BANE!!!" and comes back for the final round which leads to a triumphant ending. Finally Batman...........well I think I've said too much on that. That's not what the films only about, there are other parts to the film. I'm just saying this so I don't have to type up every bit of detail. You get the just from this. Some sites are doing a full-on spoiler review and telling people not to read it whereas I'm do a short review, without any spoilers at all, which is hard to do with this film. I really can't say much about the story without giving much away. There were times where you did think, "fucking hurry up and get to the point" and I wasn't the only person thinking this, but yes it still was a brilliant film, but it wasn't the best. Now I don't want to give much away if you still haven't seen it yet. You'll know what I mean when I said that it's not "The Dark Knight" but is still really good, I mean Nolan could never do what he did with the last film to this film, it's highly impossible.
At points, the story does drag on which gets really annoying, but then fans are hit with lots of action that make up for the slow parts. And the film is pretty long, like 2 hours and 40 something minutes. Bit more than the last one. It's a good thing and a bad thing. You want to keep seeing more and you wish it never ends, then you're hit with the slow boring parts and then you think the film should've been shorter.
Christian Bale's Bruce Wayne/Batman is trying so hard in this film. He truly is fighting for Gotham in this one, I will give him that. There are times where he just gives up and you think, "Get the fuck up!!!" but yeah, Bale is at his best this time round. The scenes with Bane are the breath-taking moments in the film. That and the "rise again" moments, which some times did drag on though, but they got better. He went through shit in this film. He was put to the test from the minute he met Bane to the end! One more thing, I loved the grey side hair that Bale dawned in the film. The grey really gave Wayne a slightly older look as though he's been Batman for like 20 years.
Anne Hathaway's Selina Kyle/Catwoman was indeed the beez-kneez! People didn't take to well to her at first, me included, but when you first see her, she's fucking amazing. I fell in love with her straight away. There's a certain shot in the film where I think Nolan just wanted to please the fan boys. Not telling you which shot, but you'll know what i mean when you see it. If you have seen it, you'll definitely know what I'm talking about!
There are so much characters to talk about and I don't want to give much away on them. Joseph Gordon Levitt should be in a cop film because he's good at playing a cop for sure, so yeah I ain't saying anymore on him. At times, I thought that there was a bit too many characters. Some had more screen time than others, not naming them and others never had enough, again not naming them. I felt as though it was like a mashed up "Avengers" film, and yes I'll probably get kicked in the balls for saying that, but it's true. All characters in "The Avengers" flowed perfectly and all were on and off screen for a certain amount of time, whereas here, they didn't.
Now let's talk about the lead up to the ending of all comic book movie endings. This has got to be the best ending ever thought of in a comic book ending. I was crying, cheering and gob-smacked all at the same time. Like I said above, it's so satisfying and literally rounds up the three films and ties up all the loose ends. The action throughout the end is just full-on. You are at the edge of your seat from the start of the end scenes to the.......well end shot.
All in all I'd give "The Dark Knight Rises" a whopping 8 out of 10. Nolan and the whole cast and crew have done fans proud with this trilogy. Even though the film wasn't perfect, it sure ended a true farewell to the franchise I just hope the next "Batman" will be as good as these ones. Please don't fuck up Warner!!!

Nolans Goodbye Message To His "The Dark Knight" Franchise!
This beautiful farewell message by director Chris Nolan, has been taken from "The Art And Making Of The Dark Knight Trilogy" book,
Alfred. Gordon. Lucius. Bruce . . . Wayne. Names that have come to
mean so much to me. Today, I’m three weeks from saying a final good-bye
to these characters and their world. It’s my son’s ninth birthday. He
was born as the Tumbler was being glued together in my garage from
random parts of model kits. Much time, many changes. A shift from sets
where some gunplay or a helicopter were extraordinary events to working
days where crowds of extras, building demolitions, or mayhem thousands
of feet in the air have become familiar.
People ask if we’d always planned a trilogy. This is like being asked whether you had planned on growing up, getting married, having kids. The answer is complicated. When David and I first started cracking open Bruce’s story, we flirted with what might come after, then backed away, not wanting to look too deep into the future. I didn’t want to know everything that Bruce couldn’t; I wanted to live it with him. I told David and Jonah to put everything they knew into each film as we made it. The entire cast and crew put all they had into the first film. Nothing held back. Nothing saved for next time. They built an entire city. Then Christian and Michael and Gary and Morgan and Liam and Cillian started living in it. Christian bit off a big chunk of Bruce Wayne’s life and made it utterly compelling. He took us into a pop icon’s mind and never let us notice for an instant the fanciful nature of Bruce’s methods.
I never thought we’d do a second—how many good sequels are there? Why roll those dice? But once I knew where it would take Bruce, and when I started to see glimpses of the antagonist, it became essential. We re-assembled the team and went back to Gotham. It had changed in three years. Bigger. More real. More modern. And a new force of chaos was coming to the fore. The ultimate scary clown, as brought to terrifying life by Heath. We’d held nothing back, but there were things we hadn’t been able to do the first time out—a Batsuit with a flexible neck, shooting on Imax. And things we’d chickened out on—destroying the Batmobile, burning up the villain’s blood money to show a complete disregard for conventional motivation. We took the supposed security of a sequel as license to throw caution to the wind and headed for the darkest corners of Gotham.
I never thought we’d do a third—are there any great second sequels? But I kept wondering about the end of Bruce’s journey, and once David and I discovered it, I had to see it for myself. We had come back to what we had barely dared whisper about in those first days in my garage. We had been making a trilogy. I called everyone back together for another tour of Gotham. Four years later, it was still there. It even seemed a little cleaner, a little more polished. Wayne Manor had been rebuilt. Familiar faces were back—a little older, a little wiser . . . but not all was as it seemed.
Gotham was rotting away at its foundations. A new evil bubbling up from beneath. Bruce had thought Batman was not needed anymore, but Bruce was wrong, just as I had been wrong. The Batman had to come back. I suppose he always will.
Michael, Morgan, Gary, Cillian, Liam, Heath, Christian . . . Bale. Names that have come to mean so much to me. My time in Gotham, looking after one of the greatest and most enduring figures in pop culture, has been the most challenging and rewarding experience a filmmaker could hope for. I will miss the Batman. I like to think that he’ll miss me, but he’s never been particularly sentimental.
