The Dark Knight In Final Talks To Join The MCU Spider-Man Reboot?

Just a few weeks ago it was rumoured that 1989's Batman himself, Michael Keaton, was in talks to play the lead villain role in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe reboot of Spider-Man, titled Spider-Man: Homecoming. After that news got out, the rumour was put to sleep and nothing came out about it. Some said the negotiations fell through.......UNTIL NOW!!!
Today, word has got out that Mr Keaton, star of the critically acclaimed film, Birdman, is said to be in final talks to playing the main villain, wether it be The Vulture, as previously speculated OR......the MCU version of Norman Osborn, who will, as we all know, will at some point transform into The Green Goblin. The character of Vulture was on the cards as a main villain waaaaaaay back when Sam Raimi was in charge of the Spidey franchise. He wanted him as the lead villain for Spider-Man 4 and was to be played by the great John Malkovich.
The Vulture is an interesting character, as long as he's done right and not just a version of The Green Goblin, with wings. This, I am looking forward to.

BatFleck Is Stunning Looking!

Here we have it ladies and gentlemen.......................Ben Affleck all good looking in his Batman suit for the yet untitled "Man Of Steel" sequel. His suit is stunning looking!!! Seeing as the first picture of BatFleck in his suit is black and white, we don't get a great look at what colour the suit will be but we can assume it'll be a similar suit to the suit that was used by Bruce Wayne in Frank Miller's "The Dark Knight Returns", which was a grey suit with a black bat logo.
Next to him, we get a glimpse of the new Batmobile, which looks like a mix between the old car and the newest tumblr from Christopher Nolan's "Batman" trilogy.

"Man Of Steel" Sequel Pushed Back To May 2016!

Warner Bros. have officially announced that their "Batman Vs Superman" movie has been pushed back to May 6th 2016. This is happening due to the fact that Warner feel as though they want to give the films makers more time to write the script and make it perfect considering that amount of newly announced superheroes added to the roaster.
Originally, only it was a "Man Of Steel" sequel with the introduction to Ben Affleck's rebooted Bruce Wayne/Batman, but then it was announced that Gal Gadot had been cast as Wonder Woman and that her role in the film was quite a big part. It was then announced that there will possibly be appearances from other heroes such as The Flash, Aquaman and The Green Lantern, who is rumoured to be played by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. It's basically turned into the "Justice League" film that Warner were planning to make for about 2016/17. So really, they need the time to get the script perfect and balance all the heroes and villains out properly like the perfect balance in Joss Whedon's 2012 "Avengers Assemble".
It's been rumoured that Ben Affleck has also sustained a leg injury which would push production back about 10 weeks but nothing has been confirmed on that part by either himself or Warner.

Warner Register Domain Names From 2015 "Batman Vs Superman" Movie!

Earlier this week Warner registered some potential names for their upcoming 2015 "Man Of Steel" sequel. It was rumoured that the Zach Snyder sequel was going to be called either "Batman Vs Superman" or just plain old awesome "World's Finest". Now, it seems as thought the film could end up having an extremely interesting and very original title.

Here are the titles that have been registered:
1. Man Of Steel: Battle The Knight
2. Man Of Steel: Beyond Darkness
3. Man Of Steel: Black Of Knight
4. Man Of Steel: Darkness Falls
5. Man Of Steel: Knight Falls
6. Man Of Steel: Shadow Of The Knight
7. Man Of Steel: The Blackest Hour
8. Man Of Steel: The Darkness Within

Now the titles above are great, but the title or titles that jump out at me are "Man Of Steel: Darkness Falls" and "Man Of Steel: Shadow Of The Knight", even though that just sounds like a title for a "Star Wars" film but fuck it, why not. The last title that could work would be "Man Of Steel: The Darkness Within". There's a lot of darkness, black and knight used in these titles. Whatever it's called, I'll watch it to be honest!!!

Daredevil Will Be The New Batman!

So first we got the controversial casting of Peter Capadli as The 12th Doctor and now we have none other than Ben Fucking Affleck cast as Zach Snyder's older and newly rebooted Batman for his 2015 "Man Of Steel" sequel?! My mind is ready to explode with geekness!!! Some people WILL probably hate this casting choice but I for one flippen love it.
I never even thought of him when thinking of older actors to play Bruce Wayne/Batman in the upcoming sequel. I honestly thought that Warner would have gone with actors such as Ryan Gosling, Josh Brolin, Karl Urban, etc. They obviously just thought nah.......BEN AFFLECK!!!! Like I said with the casting of Capadli as The 12th Doctor, not the best casting, but not bad either........THIS GOOD BE GREAT!!!
I think Affleck is perfect because he's an amazing actor and director and I, like Kevin Smith, have always had faith in him and knew that some day he WILL rise again in greatness......obviously he did that with "Hollywood Land", "Argo" and "The Town". Now it's time to see him become a superhero again and prove that 2003's "Daredevil" was just a mistake (even though I loved it) and he CAN play a superhero awesomely after all.
I think that Affleck's Bruce Wayne will be like Robert Downey Jr's Tony Stark.......the guy who brings the team together by cameoing in other superhero films. It's assumed that Affleck will lead off to play Batman in his own standalone films and rejoin Superman and the rest of DC Comics top superheroes in the planned "Justice League" film sometime in 2017.

Josh Brolin And Many Others Up For Role As Next Batman!

So not only are fellow geeks going on about who the next Doctor will be, but we're also going on about who the next Batman will be. After this image above of "Men In Black 3" star Josh Brolin hit the net with his head photoshopped onto Batman's body, everyone went batshit crazy over it. The image above looks amazing. I don't think anyone even thought about Brolin when thinking about who could play the next Batman. He actually looks like Bruce Wayne from the cartoons, well the older ones from like the 90's.
There's a rumour that Zach Snyder and Warner are possibly searching for an older actor to play the role of their Batman in the 2015 "Man Of Steel" sequel. Brolin is 45 years old and is not bad for his age so he can still move about and fight, etc. They are also looking at Ryan Gosling, in case they go for a younger actor, Tyler Hoechlin from "Teen Wolf", Richard Armitage from "The Hobbit" films and even Luke Evans from "Fast & Furious 6".
An insider did sort if confirm that they are indeed looking for an older actor for the role of the next Dark Knight in "Man Of Steel 2", so that would mean that Brolin and Armitage have more of a chance than any of the others listed. Brolin and Gosling are speculated to be Warners top choice after their roles in this years "Gangster Squad".
Fans are expecting that The Dark Knight's story will be based around Frank Miller's "The Dark Knight Returns" comic book, seeing as a quote was read out at this years COMIC-CON.

Next "Batman" Reboot Not Happening Until 2017?

The Batman will return in his first solo film since last years "The Dark Knight Rises" in or around 2017 according to insiders over at Warner Bros. The next official appearance of Batman will be in the 2015 live action adaption of the "Justice League", but it's still unknown if that will be the official rebooted Batman or if there will be two versions. One in the "Justice League" and the other in the 2017ish solo film.

The "Justice League" Line-Up Revealed?

A rumored line-up for the 2015 "Justice League" live-action film has been leaked online. It reveals that Henry Cavill's Superman and Ryan Reynolds's Green Lantern could actually appear in the upcoming planned DC Cinematic Universe after all.
It's been rumored for ages that there would be two split universes. One was the planned reboot "Batman" franchise and the upcoming "Man Of Steel" franchise and the other was going to just be based on the "Justice League". Now it seems that it could be all one universe.
Here's the line-up, courtesy of ComingSoon.net:
• Superman is essentially the same character from Man of Steel, and Zack Snyder is consulting regarding the writing of the character.
• Batman: The strategist of the group. Batman doesn't really want to be involved with these super powered beings he considers too powerful. Easily the most complex written.
• Wonder Woman: She has only been in man's world a few short months. The Wonder Woman script Michael Goldenberg is developing will be set before the Justice League movie.
• Green Lantern: Will be Ryan Reynold's character from the Green Lantern movie, but will be freshly written with a more serious tone.
• Flash: The most popular hero in civilian eyes who loves media attention, but when called upon is very serious.
• Martian Manhunter: Alien who has lived on Earth in secret for over a hundred years who has knowledge of Darkseid and his reign.
• Aquaman: Will be the King of Atlantis who has a key role in the film.
• There will also be a heavy military presence in the film which in future rewrites could include characters featured in Man of Steel or even Amanda Waller (Angela Bassett) of which neither are included in the first draft.
• Alfred Pennyworth is in the film in a minor appearance.
• Lois Lane is also in the film in a cameo.
• Darkseid's Elite will be featured who go up against the Justice League early on in the film.

Nolans Goodbye Message To His "The Dark Knight" Franchise!

This beautiful farewell message by director Chris Nolan, has been taken from "The Art And Making Of The Dark Knight Trilogy" book,
Alfred. Gordon. Lucius. Bruce . . . Wayne. Names that have come to mean so much to me. Today, I’m three weeks from saying a final good-bye to these characters and their world. It’s my son’s ninth birthday. He was born as the Tumbler was being glued together in my garage from random parts of model kits. Much time, many changes. A shift from sets where some gunplay or a helicopter were extraordinary events to working days where crowds of extras, building demolitions, or mayhem thousands of feet in the air have become familiar.

People ask if we’d always planned a trilogy. This is like being asked whether you had planned on growing up, getting married, having kids. The answer is complicated. When David and I first started cracking open Bruce’s story, we flirted with what might come after, then backed away, not wanting to look too deep into the future. I didn’t want to know everything that Bruce couldn’t; I wanted to live it with him. I told David and Jonah to put everything they knew into each film as we made it. The entire cast and crew put all they had into the first film. Nothing held back. Nothing saved for next time. They built an entire city. Then Christian and Michael and Gary and Morgan and Liam and Cillian started living in it. Christian bit off a big chunk of Bruce Wayne’s life and made it utterly compelling. He took us into a pop icon’s mind and never let us notice for an instant the fanciful nature of Bruce’s methods.

I never thought we’d do a second—how many good sequels are there? Why roll those dice? But once I knew where it would take Bruce, and when I started to see glimpses of the antagonist, it became essential. We re-assembled the team and went back to Gotham. It had changed in three years. Bigger. More real. More modern. And a new force of chaos was coming to the fore. The ultimate scary clown, as brought to terrifying life by Heath. We’d held nothing back, but there were things we hadn’t been able to do the first time out—a Batsuit with a flexible neck, shooting on Imax. And things we’d chickened out on—destroying the Batmobile, burning up the villain’s blood money to show a complete disregard for conventional motivation. We took the supposed security of a sequel as license to throw caution to the wind and headed for the darkest corners of Gotham.

I never thought we’d do a third—are there any great second sequels? But I kept wondering about the end of Bruce’s journey, and once David and I discovered it, I had to see it for myself. We had come back to what we had barely dared whisper about in those first days in my garage. We had been making a trilogy. I called everyone back together for another tour of Gotham. Four years later, it was still there. It even seemed a little cleaner, a little more polished. Wayne Manor had been rebuilt. Familiar faces were back—a little older, a little wiser . . . but not all was as it seemed.

Gotham was rotting away at its foundations. A new evil bubbling up from beneath. Bruce had thought Batman was not needed anymore, but Bruce was wrong, just as I had been wrong. The Batman had to come back. I suppose he always will.

Michael, Morgan, Gary, Cillian, Liam, Heath, Christian . . . Bale. Names that have come to mean so much to me. My time in Gotham, looking after one of the greatest and most enduring figures in pop culture, has been the most challenging and rewarding experience a filmmaker could hope for. I will miss the Batman. I like to think that he’ll miss me, but he’s never been particularly sentimental.

The Dark Knights Triumphant Journey Trailer!

A trailer of Nolan's "Batman" trailer has been released featuring footage from 2005's "Batman Begins", 2008's "The Dark Knight" and this summer's "The Dark Knight Rises". The trailer is very good. It's not as good as the one shown at the MTV Movie Awards, but I can't seem to find that one. That was a very emotional video. Batman has been through some heavy shit in this amazing trilogy. No other Batman will go through what Bale's Batman has went through. Now I haven't seen the last one yet, but look at what he's going up against. He's fucked!!!
Here's the link to the official released trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lCjhLVTqctQ
And here's the link to a fan-made one, which is a true journey video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9xvQL0XtjNE
OH YEAH, and I just found this poster above online on some fan-made site. It's fucking EPIC ain't it?! I just had to use it for this post!!!
